The hit musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will be staged by the original Broadway creative team, bringing the same look, sound and feel fans remember.
Cities, cast, and tickets are coming later, but the tour adds to a huge legacy that includes major awards, millions of fans worldwide, and a long run in New York.
A U.K. and Ireland tour is also on the way, showing this show is still going strong two decades later."
Do we know if the US tour will be equity or non-eq?

Jersey Boys has massive following and it did a stint off Broadway, that is how cheap it is to run.
This is a licence to print money. I just wish I was a investor.

The booking site says it's doing full weeks, splits, and singles so probably non-eq?

The Waitress US tour is officially happening this fall.
The new tour has been confirmed as part of the show’s 10th anniversary celebrations, with the first announced stop set for Peoria, Illinois in October.
More dates and casting are still being kept quiet for now, but the news comes after Sara Bareilles and Diane Paulus reunited to mark the milestone.
Fans can expect more details soon as the beloved musical prepares to head back out on the road.
Mamma Mia, Waitress and Jersey Boys seem like shows that will always tour every few years.

YES! Waitress please! This show today would win all the awards. It was overshadowed by Hamilton that season and Isherwood missed what was special about it (he usually does). The score is so beautiful -Sara Bareilles is a national treasure- and the show so creatively put together.
Dear Theatre Gods- Tour it then bring it back to Broadway!

Peoria, Illinois ... first sighting of Waitress that I've seen. Just a weekend stop in Peoria, so that is almost certainly a non eq show.

Dates announced tomorrow. TUTS will announce in mid-February. They usually produce 4 locally and bring in two tours, but if the line-up I've seen is correct, they're leaning more towards tours this coming season.

I just don't understand how this is selling so well. My nearby community theater did this and their entire 3 week run was sold out.

It keep chugging along to huge crowds. I know it is popular in High Schools and regional/local productions, and the National tour just keeps selling tickets in droves. It is indeed a funny show. Wide appeal from all ages. Think it is getting good word of mouth.

It's one of the best-looking seasons I've seen in a while. The only way it could look better to me is if they found a way to sneak in Oh, Mary!.
I’m assuming Oh, Mary is going to the Ordway

Lionsgate, in conjunction with Showpath Entertainment Limited and Magic Hour Productions, has announced that Dirty Dancing: The Musical—a new stage production of the 1987 film Dirty Dancing—will launch a North American tour in August at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Saint Paul, Minneapolis. Additional tour cities and casting will be announced at a later date.
Tony Award nominee, Obie Award winner, and two-time Emmy Award winner Lonny Price, who played Neil Kellerman in the original film, will direct the show written by Eleanor Bergstein, the original screenwriter of the film. Darrell Grand Moultrie is the choreographer.
Set against the summer of 1963, Dirty Dancing: The Musical follows Frances “Baby” Houseman as she discovers love, passion, and independence through her relationship with charismatic dance instructor Johnny Castle. The new production will use the music from the film.
The creative team includes set designer Brett J. Banakis, Tony-winning costume designer Linda Cho, lighting designer Japhy Weideman, Tony-winning sound designer Kai Harada, video designer David Bengali, hair and wig designer Charles G. LaPointe, and music supervisor and arranger Joseph Joubert.

Ambitious tour for Les Mis from 2022-2026, but it has not appeared on any of the 2026-2027 announcements yet. Is the tour hanging it up with its Boston stop in June 2026?

It's possible; a regional theater I visit (Great Lakes Theatre, Cleveland) just announced it for spring 2027.

Answering myself ... found a quote that pretty much states it is done in June. Lindsay Heather Pearce said "until we close in June."
