Crazy. Read to the end - this could change everything. Lin might have to do some re-writing!

I also like how they don't make it too obvious. Very nicely done.

Interesting. I wonder if Webber has ill intentions to discredit the musical Hamilton, or does he really have good faith intentions on making an historical finding.

I think more of the latter. Or maybe........maybe he wants to write an entirely new version based on these findings.

This isn't even smart satire.

It's not satire at all.

Yea. It doesn't really register to me as satire either. It's just silly. The reveal made me giggle. I guess I was just surprised because I usually detest these jokes. The bar is low.

I thought it was just silly as well. It'd be more funny to see the people who don't make it to the end.

Must remember to avoid BWW today, almost forgot.

The icing on the cake for me in this was that "The investigation was financed in whole by the great theatre composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber." Cute joke.

I long for the days of Bill Clinton joining the Chicago cast. ![]()

The last line was unneeded, but this was well done.

Well, I found that "research" funny. It didn't harm anyone and provided amusement. Nothing wrong with that.

Tell me where I said that a blue eyed, white skinned man can that shot himself can not be played by an actor of color who, in the story, is shot by someone else?
The creative team can do whatever they like. I am just saying it's not realistic, but you are right, it doesn't have to be. Theatre is a triumph of the fantasy.

He didn't shoot himself. This was an April Fool's article- as pointed out by every poster in this thread before you.
Edit: Where did my initial post in this topic go?

The article has it all wrong. Hamilton was shot by Mr. Roxy.

After I did a fake April Fool story on a discussion board many years ago, and people wound up threatening to sue because my story disrespected the Confederate flag, I am VERY leery of April Fool jokes. Nonetheless, I thought the Hamilton story was very clever, and I COMPLETELY bought it. I kept wondering why ALW would say that he should send the findings to the Tony committee, and why ALW was interested in the founding fathers in the first place.
I have a question for the writer: Is ANY of it true, such as the idea that the seconds have to file a report? Well played, BWW!
