Or, let ABC create content that they think will make them money and it's only ABC so who gives a crap? Is there not enough memorable material on television already?

Oh, BWW. It's like the left hand doesn't even know what the right hand is doing.

Channing and his wife Jenna would me Maze!

I feel like a lot of the articles contradict each other, so I'm a tad confused. Is this a remake using the score from the stage version, is there going to be a new score, or is it just a remake of the film and not even a musical?

Probably the latter.
A movie with a hit soundtrack does not a musical make.

I agree, which is why when I was a kid I used to move movies like Footloose and Flashdance from the musical section to the drama section.

NBC doesn't own her she's just happened to have starred in 3 shows on that network.
No one is watching this schlock??
My fav part so far was when Debra Messing climaxed when she watched them dance to Fever.

Oh my! I just tuned in. Zero chemistry between the leads, Nicole Scherzinger is doing some bizarre accent, and I hate to say it, but Ms. Breslin is a bit of a cow.
I was only able to tolerate 14 minutes until I switched to the mets game. Mostly sucked because they couldn't get a lead guy who could dance or who had an ounce of charisma.

I watched for about a minute during the commercials during Survivor. It looked awful.

Well, this is particularly terrible. I've left it on as I've been working....hoping maybe it will have some redeeming quality....but no. The choreo is even pretty boring.
I don't understand why they've made changes, or made THESE changes. Shaking my damn head, all night long.
SHOULD'VE. NEVER. BEEN. MADE.
And just when you thought it COULDN'T possibly get worse!
GAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
I had one single moment I liked (when Debra Messing stood up right after the lift - it was hilarious).
Breslin is so stiff throughout, and she's significantly older looking than her older sister. Woman cannot act or dance to save her life. Johny is seriously lacking, in everything.
"Never thought I had a career on Broadway"
Me - "Neither did I"
Also, what the f*** is up with this La La Land ending?
Well, when they were in bed, she did tell him he should be on broadway. So. There's that.
And yes, that incredibly anti-climatic non-iconic moment.
Oy that was one of the worst things I've seen. Terrible acting bizarre cinematography no chemistry. Truly abysmal on all counts.
Glad I missed it ...actually had no intention of watching... I saw the lead dude on DWTS the other night and he's basically charmless, can't dance and not even sexy...That's the best ABC can do? Sad!
Oooof that was rough. Everything that made the original so special was stripped away.
Patrick Swayze is rolling in his grave. Horrible.

Y'all, Andy Blankenbuehler choreographed this. WTF.
Blankenbuehler, left to his own devices, is awful. He's not a Jerry Mitchell. He needs a director to trim and cut things - see: Bandstand.
Was this LIVE or prerecorded? Going to try and watch this tomorrow.
Totally pre-recorded, though it looked worse than all of the live shows.
Abigail Breslin is serving me Jaymes Mansfield realness with those stubby legs. Oh girl. You should have said no.
Watching this Colt Prattles guy try and act is like watching paint dry.
I had the time of my life... watching Katy Sagal sing fever while Debra Messing got wet.
