That is correct. I get the impression (from Instagram) there may be others from the show who've been systematic as well. I think it's good that those who have a strong fan base (especially a strong younger fan base) get the word out that this is serious and to stay the f**k inside. It's also important to share that he has been experiencing symptoms that last week were not necessarily associated with Covid 19- the loss of taste and smell. If his message keeps any amount of people home, than he should be praised for putting this out. We don't know the basis for why he was tested and should not make false assumptions. For all we know, he didn't want the test and someone convinced him otherwise. One theory is as valid as the other.
I'm personally glad to see he's on the mend. That voice needs to be heard again soon!

Matt Doyle, of Company, has also tested positive. All three men have mild symptoms. I hope they all feel better soon!

Of course. Celebrities and the wealthy will always have access to the best healthcare and anything they want. All of themthat tested positive seem to have mild symptoms, but since they wanted to know, their doctor set them up with a test. It's unfair, but that's just how the world works. This would make sense that a lot of people tested positive... didn't they abruptly cancel the Thursday matinee before the full closure went into effect?

Sad and scary...we'll probably hear about more actors on Broadwat testing positive this week and thereafter...Stay in and well people!!!

I got tested for the Coronavirus on Tuesday. My test came back Saturday morning and I am positive for COVID-19/Coronavirus. I feel a bit better now, save a mild headache, congestion and residual cough. It kinda comes in waves. My symptoms could be classified as this: flu-like, but not the worst flu I’ve ever had. Still very uncomfortable. A little heaviness on my lungs. And fatigued. I am quarantined in the apartment (away from my wife too!) for another 7 days.
I’m in pretty good shape and have no relevant underlying health conditions....

Tam Mutu and his wife both had it (as another poster above reported!), so there may have been a concern about whether it was spreading to the entire cast. (Note: this is just my best guess, not intended to be an assertion of fact!)

New York State’s per capita testing rate is the highest in the world. That’s why it’s “easy” for an actor or someone with mild symptoms (and having known contact with someone else who has tested positive helps too) to get tested. The stories you hear of people not being able to be tested are most likely not from New York.
There’s also a strategic shift happening now which places less importance on testing. It’s too now for testing to matter all that much, so a test may not be performed unless the results would alter the medical treatment plan.

It's a sensitive time, we lost a great artist yesterday who did not publicize his illness unlike others like Chad Kimball have. People need to think twice before letting the world know they have COVID-19. What's the purpose, really? To let everyone know they're OK and to fund homemade masks? Medical experts and well-rounded politicians have said put aside your sewing machines and contact your local officials. Make it known to them what your local hospitals need.

Also of note, Mr. McNally was 81 years old and was a lung cancer survivor and had a lung disease called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), so he was more at risk, unfortunately.

People with pre-existing condition = EXTREMELY high-risk. He, unfortunately, will not be the last one to go.
