The performance is not even over yet!
And it's not even his "last" show.

"And it's not even his "last" show."
But it might actually be his last if the show closes before he returns

I'm sure the show will make it until the end of the year. Especially if it wins more than 1 Tony tomorrow.

I was there- show was amazing as usual !!! Aaron sounded amazing !! Show was totally sold out, and you can tell that the "diehards" knew it was his last (for now, at least)

I did, and I won't start my own thread...
The show was fantastic tonight, as it always is. The audience, thankfully, was enthusiastic, yet well-behaved. I was worried it would be all loud Aaron fan-girls, but that wasn't the case. Loud, enthusiastic applause at the beginning, but stopped as soon as Alice got ready to start. Same thing after Superboy and I'm Alive. More enthusiastic (and louder) than normal, but not over the top.
Everyone was on top of their game. This was the most intense I Am The One I've ever seen and if they perform it like this tomorrow night, they're sure to sell some tickets. Alice didn't do any of her screaming tonight where she usually does ("No!!" and "What makes you think I'd lose my mind to you!"). I assume she is trying to save her voice for tomorrow night.
The entire cast is always fantastic, but I just want to give a special shout out to Bobby, who has just gotten to be so magnificent as Dan. His performance is really pretty brilliant, and almost on par with Ripley at this point. His work in the music box scene is exquisite, and the last I Am The One with he and Aaron was remarkable.
At the curtain call, Aaron was openly crying and blew a kiss and pointed towards where his family was sitting then waved to the audience.
Definitely a nice temporary sendoff for Aaron.

Or she finally realized it doesn't actually sound good. The way she performs Didn't I See This Movie now is beyond irritating. That song is more powerful when its a little subdued.

Totally agree, and I had a cute Bobby moment before the show- I was sitting by the theatre doors, and his family stopped by, (They were all in from Texas for the Tonys. ) with his son (cutest little thing !!)- Climbed up the steps, and saw Bobby's picture, and yelled out "daddy!!!"- Spoke with them for a while, and took some pics for them--- great people !

They were all standing outside the theater before the show. The one I assumed was his brother is a dead-ringer for him, though he's much lankier and skinner than Aaron.

Posted: 6/7/09 at 12:21amDidnt see the brother--- saw his wife, sister (with another woman, that might have been an in-law), and his little boy.

I meant Aaron's family, not Bobby's.

I was there.
It was my first time seeing the show...I'm pretty sure it affected me emotionally more than any other show I've ever seen...
I'm glad I got to see Aaron. I felt like he and Alice were completely vomiting their souls to me in the audience. It was so awesome to feel that. All 6 cast members were phenominal. The acting was superb all around in this piece. So grateful I got to see it. I feel like it was a very special night in the theatre.
On another note, a friend of mine said they were chatting at the Billy Elliot stage door and found out that only Trent will be performing on the Tonys instead of all 3 because someone (David?) is injured and theyd rather have one perform than 2 out of 3. But perhaps my friend was confused...
That's all...

Great to hear that Aaron's last show [for now] went really well. I'm glad I was able to see him in the show last weekend.
That would be too bad if that were true about the Billy performance on the Tonys. Tanner and Tommy performed as Billy today, but I was assuming that was so the boys can prepare for the Tonys, not because of an injury. I hope that's not the case.

Posted: 6/7/09 at 3:59amSaw the show at well, completely agree with adamgreer's review. Alice was more subdued, and I like that performance SO much better. Alice was also more emotional than usual. In "How Could I Ever Forget", there seemed to be a lot more pauses than usual. Aaron also had more tears than usual, which is completely understandable and kind of adorable.

LOL.. saw them too (between shows)--- didnt get a real good look at them-- I was too focused on the man that ran down the block, chasing Aaron, so that his kids could get a pic with him.
Aaron was really nice about it, but it was a little wierd !!

I am torn. I am trying to break the cycle of seeing show a multitude of times....financially it's killing me -- I don't qualify for student rush and frankly since I don't live in the city, it's not time effective for me to try lottery either.
BUT ANYWAY. I've seen N2N 3x (once off bway) and am most likely will see Kyle in the part over the summer...but I just know that's going to lead to a need to see Aaron again once he returns. And yes, I said NEED. I find myself "jonesing" for this show.
And then there's Hair. But I don't think that will be as needy. I hope.
I need a twelve step program to keep me clean from Bway.

Go for the $36.50 seats, row H in the mezz - terrific value! I've been there twice, and will indeed be back again.... and again... and again ...
