It's a fine idea. No one will say don't because a) its up to you and 2) most people won't even notice. have a good time!
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."
To Kill A Mockingbird
Umm.. I don't just wear it to the show. WICKED totally made me fall in love with green and I'm totally obsessed with it. More than half of my wardrobe is green - just because of the show!! So yeah - totally. Wear green!!
I think it's nice to dress up...at first i thought you were gonna paint your face green lol
A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it,
but all she really dreams is to make someone
else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer.
And that is so beautiful-Anonymous
Its fun to wear green to Wicked. I do (I live in Chicago, so... I'll be seeing a LOT... if only b/c all my friends want to see it w/me... separately... lol). I don't go overboard- most of the time, people don't even notice. But it makes me feel good. LOL. *has a secret desire to be green*
"I mean, how many of us could honestly say that at one time or another he hasn't set fire to some great public building?"
Bought my daughter a beautiful green sweater for our trip to see the show last December.... now her wardrobe revolves around green and pink! (Her little brother was handsome inhis blue blazer, while I was stunning-as usual- in black!!)
"I'm mad, you're mad. we're all mad"...
The Cheshire Cat
I wore a long black dress with a gorgeous emerald green necklace, my husband wore a dark shirt with a green tie. I say get into to the spirit of the show, just don't go too overboard.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."
Conan O'Brien
My sister and I realized during the intermission that I was wearing a bubblegum pink cardigan and she was wearing this black gauzy, flowy shirt. Very appropriate, but completely unintentional.
Wearing a green shirt to Wicked is fine. Wearing a costume complete with green face paint is definitely overboard. It's not Rocky Horror, you look ridiculous.
