It’s called being able to separate the art from the artist. Not an uncommon thing at all.
For example, when he was cast as The Phantom, there were those who thought it was a good casting choice and those who thought that he shouldn’t be in that show due to his past because of the younger fan base this show has.

So based on your logic, those who like, say Christine Ebersole for example, are supporters of the truther and anti vaccination movement because those are her views? And, before you or anyone may say that that’s different because her actions are not as extreme to what Amar did (and I would agree fully with that by the way) it’s still the same basic concept.

His girlfriend forgave him for sending her nudes to Chase Finlay. They are still together. Lord knows why total strangers are holding on to a grudge.
He is a talented person of Asian descent in an industry where they are sorely underrepresented, so hopefully he continues to find success in whatever he does next.

The person you addressed can't have turned a blind eye, as they are clearly aware of what he did and reference it. What they said was one can dislike a person's behavior in their personal life and still admire their art. There is, like, hundreds of years of art that back up this assertion.

"Suffer similar treatment"? What do you think he did?
If my sister or niece sends nude photos to a guy, there of course exists the possibility that he privately shows them to someone else. Obviously that is not great. I don't want that to happen, and it would be a breach of trust, but it's not the end of the world.
Some perspective, please.

re: Ebersole - spewing harmful garbage does have victims - too many to count. God only knows what other notions she has ruminating in that head. Actually, I don't want to know, nor do I care to listen to her warbling any longer.
