But do you think Ben Walker will appear in undies in the opening number like Matt Smith did in London? That might increase sales if there was a preview of that. Ha!
Hard to say. The dialogue is the same but the song is new and the press rehearsal preview had him in a blazer. I would say the shower scene is a very memorable scene from the movie but that's probably just me and a handful of others who remember the scene that fondly for the obvious reasons.

I....don't care to see him in his underwear. But, to each their own I guess.

Anyone slagging off the show by just watching these videos.. And asking were the people who ACTUALLY saw the whole show in London stupid for liking it , are really stoopid themselves.
This is a unique musical and sorry if it hadn't got rapping in it but maybe have the intelligence to see the whole show and then pass judgement.
Whoomp there it is...

Does anyone really want to see poppin' and lockin' for choreography? It was horrible when it first appeared in the 90's.and this looks like nothing original. C'mon- Thriller moves???? Pahleeze! I assume it takes place in that decade but really now. Maybe the sets are good. Even the press gave it golf course applause.
Yes, kick lines and box steps only please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say, as someone who's excited for this show, the preview montage made everything look pretty awful, however the full videos posted later are really redeeming, especially for "Selling Out" and "The Card Song".
The choreography for "Selling Out" is still pretty fking awkward, but it sounds fantastic and the little scenes interspersed within look great. The zombified/teetering movements of the background characters is a nice touch, and the use of the conveyor belts are well done, namely the moment after the video store when Patrick sings a snippet of "Not A Common Man".
The way the boys deliver their restaurant orders in the full video for "The Card Song" make me very hopeful that this production is taking the right approach with the material. I strongly agree with Namo, though, that the card trick should only be used ONCE.
I'm still leaning towards positive, I truly hope this won't be a disappointment.

I can't say for myself that I'm a big fan of American Psycho in any of its forms. The movie is a cult classic that I respect, but has never been one I would pop in to watch anytime soon. I was intrigued to see a musical version of it, especially since it had a lot of buzz in London and many people I like are in the cast. But as soon the the first song began, I could feel the pretentious attitude of the entire production seeping through every single aspect. I hope it turns out better than this video has led me to believe, but I don't see too bright a future as it stands.

From Michael Musto today: "In the numbers they presented, the music jangled innovatively and the lyrics managed to rhyme “mahi mahi” with Isaac Mizrahi. Sounds like this could be another spring awakening".
Sounds exciting!
