The Broadway-bound musical, Paradise Square, begins performances next Tuesday for a month-long engagement at the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago. I will be seeing the matinee next Saturday, November 6th. Definitely excited, as it will be my first live theater performance since my last NY theater trip before the Pandemic in November 2019.
Made a dinner reservation for The Dearborn nearby the theater for after the show. It's wonderful to be making theater plans again, and to be taking the bus down to Chicago to see a show. (I live in Wisconsin.) I also am anxiously awaiting my next NY theater trip in March, where my girlfriend and I have tickets for The Music Man, Company, Six, and Wicked. (I saw the original cast way back in 2004, but she's never seen it, and she was in the mood for a spectacle show.) I may try to squeeze one more show into the trip, but with the recent closing announcements, I want to see what else is coming in March before I decide.
Hoping to hear some reactions here to the show before I go next Saturday.
