Also. I find the OP very hypocritical by saying that the witch should have fed Jack to the giant's wife because now murder is condoned just because Jack has been a murderer before. How does that help him learn his lesson? Just kill him off. That'll solve everything?

Can there be a satirical dirgical?
Can there be a jukebox dirgical?
Can there be a revival of a dirgical that revises the original musical? And could that be called a "dirgisal"?

"Can there be a revival of a dirgical that revises the original musical?"
Absolutely not. Dirgicals are sacrosanct. Not one, dismal note or word of them is allowed to be changed.
It's only the good musicals that are fair game for out-and-out sabotage.

A8, I was wondering of you could post the results of your audience poll.
I'd be curious to see the statistics.
Thanks!

Grandmama is right. Her nemesis, Sondheim allows not a thing to be changed in his revivals.

Posted: 1/9/15 at 5:31pmOf all the sad threads I have checked in on at this site, this thread makes me the saddest. I don't think it is possible that most of your are theater fans at all. In fact, I hope I never meet up with any of you. A boy should be executed for having an adventure? Granny warned Little Red not to stray from the path. Cinderella was told she was not to go to the ball. The Baker's father stole from the Witch. The witch has imprisoning her own daughter for years. The Baker lied to Jack to get Milky White. The Steward kills Jack's mother to keep her quiet. I don't see that any one of them was any better or worse than any other; nor do I care. Then the usual insult experts check in with their usual irrelevant, non-constructive posts. I will always like this show, and Jack will always be a favorite character. So, no I don't have a problem with the ending of this show.
