Especially considering this is my first post on an account I made yesterday. In my defense, I have been lurking on this site for about a decade. I had an account when I was in 7th grade but because I only just turned 18 in 2012, I always thought I was too young to post. Okay, I'm done rambling. I need some advice. After much thought, I have decided that I MUST go to NYC and see the OBC in Hamilton sometime between February - May. I'm going with at least two friends but could be up to four friends.
I know if I want to see L-MM to avoid purchasing tix on Saturday and Sunday matinees but what I need help with is figuring out what seats to get? I saw that there was another thread on best/worst mezz and balcony seats but I didn't see anything about the seats at Rodgers. I think I remember watching a clip and L-MM said that there is no bad seat at Rodgers (I wouldn't know because I never got to see Heights) but I'm not if I should really pay much attention to that...please let me know what seats I should avoid when getting tickets.
On that note, which sites are reliable to buy Hamilton tix? On the actual site, it says tickets are sold out for months but there has to be a legitimate 2nd seller site, right? Where should I look? I'm a college student on a budget but I've already accepted my fate of being broke for quite some time after I return...
Out of the people I'm going to NYC with, I am definitely the biggest Broadway fan. Two of them really LOVE Hamilton but I definitely want to catch a couple more shows while I'm there. I want to go to at least two of the following:
- The Color Purple
- Beautiful (I love Carole King --but I haven't seen this board talk much about this musical)
- Matilda
- Curious Incident
- A View from the Bridge
What would be your top picks?? Noises Off is one of my favorite plays but I feel like I should see something I haven't seen.
Thank you and sorry this is so long!
