I am excited for the reopening and the chance to see these guys on a New York stage again full time!
If we're talking about the seats at that ATA for the performances of Bare, I think you and I probably had the same seat. Front row, four or five seats in. Yes, perfection indeed.
Can't wait for the show to re-open. Though I'm a little concerned that the tickets don't seem to be selling that quickly. Perhaps people aren't going to be willing to shell out $70 to see an Off-Broadway show? Maybe they overestimated the selling price.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. That is EXACTLY the seat. LOL> I almost DIED from shock TWICE. Johns tripped down and I had his nearly naked self within arm's reach and then in Act 2, Adam runs up to the stage edge, directly in front of me, and pelvis thrusts right in my face.. no complaints here, though they SHOULD warn patrons... cause if someone sat there and had a heart condition... MAN oh man.
I saw the show twice and sat there BOTH times.. the second time more so just to see how John and Adam would react since I had seen them before the show and they remembered me from before. LOL.
I DO have those two images seared into my eyelids though
I sat there by a total fluke of chance. When we walked in the usher was just "sit wherever you want" and we actually didn't want front row at first, but for whatever reason just sat there. I thought it odd, since I'd heard you had to get there early to get a better seat.
Next thing I know, I could have reached out and pet Michael's head in Role of a Lifetime, which sort of freaked me out at first, him being that close, singing so earnestly right in front of my face. I kind of had to look the other way.
The little white shorts that up close and personal, however, didn't deter my staring at all. Nope, not one bit.
That's such a coincidence, I had that seat too! And I just sat there because it was available when I arrived fifteen minutes before curtain, I didn't know that it'd be the best one in the house. You'd think a huge fanatic would have taken it before I got there.
Adam is sooo cute! He's like a little kid. But a sexy little kid! (Eeew, that's sooo wrong. I mean a sexy grown man of kiddish charm!)

yes.. that is one reason I am such a fan of Mike's now.. the shear intensity of his performance seeing it that close..... It was the same way with me getting that seat....
I had to fight the urge to reach up and hug and cuddle Mike during a few scenes!
And well.. other urges in others....
as a note, that house staff there was SOOO wonderfully nice.

ME TOO! And he just emenates the word "huggable."
I guess that seat in the front row has enjoyed all our butts.

and those in the front row, especially in MY seat, enjoyed a few other butts............
yeah, Mikey is exceptionally huggable.. especially when you see him on the street.
this seems to be THE seat to sit in. of the five times i saw the show, i sat in the SAME seat! lol. the front row was totally my domain. there's nothing like having michael arden literally inches away from you emoting like WHOA. i totally wanted to go and hug him during the show. a little scared about the move to Dodger stages. Let's hope it doesn't lose the intimacy.
Hee. I wonder how Michael would feel to know that all of our first instincts when it comes to him is to hug him?! I guess that's the price you pay for being so damn cute.
Well, my first instinct was to hug him, second was to take him out for a candlight dinner and a walk on the beach...

and did you guys see the casting notice up for bare: a pop opera? seems like they're casting quite a few roles (none of the principals tho). *tear* i already miss the ATA.

"What seat is this, exactly....and how do I get it?"
Sorry Finn, seating at ATA was general admission and it was luck of the draw.. when you would go in, house right, and head to the front row.. four seats in.
I second the opinion about the candlelit dinner.

um... what bio?? and why is he an ass?? what is wrong with the bio?
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/18/03
he is isn't pompous.. you are rude... try having a sense of humor.. he isn't be serious.. he's being funny. Read the journal on his website ( http;//www.johnhillonline.com ) it's his sense of humor. TRUST ME. John Hill is NOT Pompous at all. In his bio, he is JOKING about the fact that he never got to go on in BFO..
How about YOU get over YOURSELF.
How about writing a normal bio. He is the one who comes off rude.
His apparent sense of humor doesn't come across to the average reader. Like me.
No rude. Smile.

average reader?? Maybe he doesn't have a 'normal' bio here because he wanted to do something different and stand out.
So you are the normal reader?? It all must be measured by what YOU find amusing? Most of the people I sat around at the show and have encountered understood that fact.
Perhaps he shoudl include a disclaimer for you.
Well the people I have "encountered" agreed with me. I won't say anything else about the show Val, I don't want to offend you furthur. A disclaimer...now THAT would be funny.

well obviously your friends have different senses of humor than OTHER people. I did not know we all had to be the same that way.

I thought John's bio was hysterical and began laughing in the theatre. I think he has a crazy sense of humor and his blog is super funny too.
Cut the man some slack for being funny!
