don't forget INCREDIBLY nice. John is a real quality guy. One of the nicest men you will run into.

BARE Re-Opening

oh bluewizard...you're quite the catch

Awww, thank you! *Sigh* I feel like Kate Monster. ("And as you know I have a gigantic heart, so why...can't I get a boyfriend?! F**k! It sucks to be me!")

I'm reading John Hill's bio now....I can see why Jamie Hat might think it sounds pompous, but it really is just John Hill's tongue-in-cheek sense of humour. If you check out his website, he always writes like that. But if you meet him in person or hear him speak, you'll find he's actually a modest and self-deprecating guy.

By the way, everyone check out the BWW pictures from Scott Nevins *Presents*. Can you-know-who be any cuter? BARE Re-Opening

John Hill's bio is the reason why I think he's adorable. Yes, he's physically beautiful but I love his snarky sense of humor. Le sigh for sure.

And OMG, the pics that Linda took are incredible. Michael looks so amazing. And I can't believe that Linda was the photographer. I was sitting across from her and thought it might be her but didn't want to appear to be a dork by approaching her! :)

BARE Re-Opening

As a fellow cynic writer I think Hills bio is hilarious!
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

BARE Re-Opening

Who is this Linda? Is she someone I should know?

BARE Re-Opening

she is the photographer for the photo coverage.

John and I would click SO well hanging out for a few hours. Our sense of humor is VERY similar.

did anyone notice that the ticket price for bare when reopens is now $70. thats almost double?
#259

BARE Re-Opening

I wonder where John would be without those cheek bones.

True, but I always found the $40 tickets to be a steal.

BARE Re-Opening

WHAT the hell is your problem with John???? Do you have NOTHING better to do than trash him??
#262

BARE Re-Opening

Thankfully John has all that ginormous talent to fall back on in case he should ever lose those cheekbones.

And though the $70 seems like a lot, Bare is certainly worth it. Trisky and I will be there for the first preview on the 22nd. :)
#263

BARE Re-Opening

$70 bucks isn't alot. Yes, is is a jump... but being in the new theatre, there are many factors to consider into icket price.

BARE Re-Opening

Linda takes a lot of photos for Broadwayworld.com. I've long been a fan! :) Her subject matter of Michael Arden doesn't hurt either... BARE Re-Opening
#265

BARE Re-Opening

I would rather talk about Michael Arden anyways. I'll leave John alone.

So anyways, did anyone actually say who the cast replacements were going to be?
#266

BARE Re-Opening

nothing has been said publicly past what has been stated on cast breakdowns issued for auditions.
#267

BARE Re-Opening

So are we assuming that Arden is in?
#268

BARE Re-Opening

I would think so, considering all the promo gigs he's been doing for the show of late.

BARE Re-Opening

here is Dodger Stages Theatre I, where Bare will reopen this September.

BARE Re-Opening

it's funny, b/c the mezzanine level is basically the size of the ATA. we'll see how well this works in the new theatre. and bluewizard, the kate monster line is my mantra!
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

BARE Re-Opening

I saw BARE when we were in NYC in April - enjoyed, but could have used a little maturing of the book. One of my questions, though, had to do with Mr. Hill. In his bio, it said he understudied for Hugh in BOY FROM OZ. Nothing I saw on the stage that night could justify that gig. Is this really what he did?
#274

BARE Re-Opening

Please remember that this was a DEVLOPMENTAL run.. the whoel purpose was to see what didn't work.. it was in NO way a finished product and it is being heavily revised for the reopening.

John DID understudy Hugh Jackman in Boy From Oz. He is a very capable performer.. though I think it has been agreed that no matter who you are, you can not be justified as a Hugh replacement.. they DID close the show for his vacation..........

BARE Re-Opening

I've been gone for a week a completely missed the BARE happenings, it was sheer torture!!!
ressurecting this thread, WE WILL KEEP IT ALIVE!!!
oh jeez, my Michael Arden ranting will definitly be set free here
i've decided i like the blond (i'm sure everyone cares BARE Re-Opening) and as for his height, i haven't met him in person, but i LOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE the tall thing. i don't know how many times i've listened to the sampler and swooned over his voice....i guess i should count the number of bruises from completely falling over...hmmmm BARE Re-Opening once again I NEED TO SEE THIS IN SEPTEMBER, i feel guilty posting because i haven't seen the show, but the sampler is permanently in my CD player. i'm in the process of devising a plan to get to NYC, convincing my oh so close minded mom to let me see the show, and who to see it with. I WILL FIND A WAY!!!

jeez, a week away from BWW.com can really do something to you, i typed that so fast my fingers are still moving!
