hana, I've never encountered that. Everytime I see someone walking around and have asked for a photo, they've done so gladly without asking for anything.
^ I think it depends on the person. I heard Bebe will ask for a $10 donation if you see her there. Of course she is not slated to be there but that was just an example. As to what they would do with the money, they could just hand it to any of the booths. All the money goes to the same place: BC/EFA.
Gleek, I seem to recall Ann will sometimes hang out to heckle John Bolton (and help drive the price up) as he's acting as auctioneer on the silent items
I personally think this year's autograph table choices are awful! No disrespect to any of the actors selected, but there is not one group that i'd be willing to pay 30$ to meet. A lot of these actors you can commonly meet for free, and the other ones are kinda random to be honest. I love Boyd Gaines and David Hyde Pierce, but outside of that, its very meh.
Jordan and Gleek, thanks for your responses. I've never encountered this either, last year I bumped into some performers from Newsies and they gladly posed for a picture. But then I remembered I read something once about contributing money to get a picture on flea market day, and then started wondering about this. That makes sense, that they would take the money and just get it to the closest booth. Good to know, thanks!
They have changed the lineup quite a bit already! A few dropped out and some exciting new celebs announced participation including James Snyder, Jonathan Freedman, and Patrick Wilson.
Josh Radnor is in the 2pm slot as well. I'm gonna guess that the photo booth will probably get slammed for him. At least if that happens the volunteers working try hard to get what you want signed if you were doing the autograph line. At least that was my experience with Bernadette Peters 2 years ago.

Among the shows scheduled to have tables this year are Aladdin, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, The Book of Mormon, Cabaret, Cinderella, If/Then, The Lion King, Kinky Boots, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, Matilda The Musical, Motown: The Musical, Newsies, Once, Pageant: The Musical, The Phantom of the Opera, Rock of Ages and Wicked.
I just remembered something I just happened to overhear last year. The group that organized their playbills by year will not be doing that again this year. I think it had to do with storage space or something. I was at that booth where I heard one of the workers talking to someone else. So don't be surprised or get angry if it isn't as well organized as it has been in the past. Remember, these people are volunteering their time and donating merchandise. They easily could decide not to do it in the future and don't have to sell that stuff in the first place.

Pammylicious, that seems very unlikely. They both have several months to clear out their inventory for a profit at the theatre, not to mention there are tours going out.
