I’ve sadly yet to be able to go but I’m very interested in some stuff if anyone is able to pick anything up for me! In particular I’m interested in stuff from Come From Away, Hadestown, Anastasia, Matilda, The Band’s Visit, Company (revival), the current Into the Woods, and Suffs. Preferably not playbills unless they’re signed or rare editions and not merch readily available from the show site/playbill store. Not looking to spend a ton. If you find anything I will happily pay you for whatever the item is selling for there plus shipping!

There's a signed piece of the set (?) that's out near Shubert alley at the flea, it says "welcome to nowhere" and is about 7 ft tall (taller than me!) and is signed by (appearingly) the entire cast. i also saw lots of JLP especially books so you should be fine!

I was there later in the day. Aside from the individual show booths, it seemed like there was a lot from Escape to Margaritaville and Caroline, or Change.

Was Kristin ever at her booth? I did see Jessica Vosk there. 

I think I missed Moulin Rouge completely. What were they selling? I love the designs on their stuff but I already got a mug from Audience Rewards earlier this year.

Was Some Like It Hot just selling water? They were packing up by the time I made it there. 

The Into the Woods booth was interesting. I'm curious what they had earlier in the day as when I went by it seemed like the only Into the Woods specific things were Playbills featuring the cast (including Phillipa in Amelie). I do think the booths were a lot better organized this year with more labels for Playbill categories and shirts organized by size so it wasn't just chaos. 

I liked the way it was organized this year. Maybe it was just the benefit of smaller crowds later in the afternoon, but I felt like the tables I was interested in were clustered more around Shubert Alley and then I had a chance to wander and check out everything else. 

I only wish I'd gone earlier to see more of the Broadway Makers art but overall, it was a pretty fun, manageable experience. I think this is the least I've ever spent.

I've never visited the Broadway Flea before but made the effort today and was really happy with what I found: a hardcover copy of the Lehman Trilogy script signed by Ben Powers, and Orpheus' notebook from a performance of Hadestown inscribed by Reeve Carney. I regret not dropping by all these years!

They had a lot of these weird, flimsy aprons. I wouldn't be surprised to see those. I don't know if the mugs ($1) and magnets ($1) will be around next year but since the program books were still $5 when I got one, they might still be there next year. Honestly, no one seemed that excited by any of it, but I could see people grabbing $1 mugs just because. There were even more mugs from Trouble in Mind.

Roundabout really pissed me off this year. During “Caroline”, the staff told me twice that they “had stacks of posters backstage everyone has been signing for the Broadway flea market later this year”, so I’ve been a patient boy since January. And then no roundabout table. One table said Roundabout had been bringing them things to sell but only a handful of posters and no “Caroline”. So WTF.

That would be a great idea! But weather is always a concern, I suppose. Early spring might be muddy.

Yes. There was ONE framed original Broadway “Carrie” poster. I saw it around 10:30am, I think, and they had it marked “sold” already. I’ve been going to the flea every year, since 2011, and I always get there are the beginning of the day. The window card from today is ONLY thing from “Carrie” I have ever seen there in all my years going. 

But I was able to get a framed original Broadway “Little Women” poster!!! Something I’ve been searching for all those years as well.  I was going to try to get Sutton Foster to sign it while she was at “The Music Man” table (while giving a donation to BC/EFA for it, always) but she left for the matinee. It was a GREAT day, as usual!

One thing I bought from Phantom was a prop newspaper. When I got home, I realized that I had accidentally grabbed three instead! (A complete accident, two were folded into the first one and I, nor the person who sold it to me had noticed)

I noticed that each has a different news source (La Tribune, Le Figaro, Le Quotidien), but are otherwise identical in every way. Would a more seasoned POTO fan know if there's any trivia behind this?

In the earlier days of BWW , there would have been several theads about the flea market and they'd be filled with nrws about meet-ups, celebrites, and food that was being seveg at cetail tables.

I saw her there with Joel Grey and she was all dolled up with full makeup and a cute little pink pantsuit outfit. She is just a QUEEN. The prices at her table though...good Lord

I honestly had one of the best Flea Market experiences ever this year. I did spend an obscene amount of money (though followed my strict rule of $100 cash and only ONE big ticket credit card purchase), but I ended up getting A LOT.

One of my first purchases was the last of 3 Usher chimes from the "A STRANGE LOOP" table for $150, signed by Jaquel Spivey. I popped back "Periodically" (get it?) throughout the day and L. Morgan Lee, Jason Veasey, and James Jackson, Jr all signed it for me too and we chatted for a bit. I've been tinkling it ever since I got home. It's addictive! Lol. I also ran into John-Andrew Morrison on his way to the theatre around 2:15 and he gave me the biggest hug. I love him so much - such a sweet guy.

I also got a ton of autographed posters (Mean Girls, Significant Other, Tina), including an OBC Beetlejuice for $20 (which I was happy about because they didn't have them when I saw it in original previews. I got about 30 Playbills which, by the end of the day before the rain, were starting to go about 5-10 for $1-$5.

Two other surprises I got were a VHS of "Singing in the Rain" signed by Debbie Reynolds for only $5 (I was shook) and a pristine copy of Angels in America (unedited) for $2 - which I later discovered was signed by Tony Kushner on the inside cover. 

My friend and I also ran into Shawna Hamic on our way to lunch and we praised her profusely since we saw her in 1776 last night and she ATE as Richard Henry Lee - seriously, if there is only one reason to go, it's for her doing that. We took a selfie with her too and she was so nice.

It was honestly the cherry on a great weekend which also included three new shows (Leopoldstadt, Cost of Living, and 1776).

I was following Theatre Twitter while at the event, and apparently there was a LOT of crappy behavior at the fan-favorite tables like PHANTOM, WICKED, BEETLEJUICE, and FUNNY GIRL, although since I mostly just avoided those tables due to lack of interest, I didn't see much of it

I hope everyone else had the chance to enjoy this year's Flea too. It was nice to be back in person

Overall I had a great time at this year's bway flea market. I arrived at 3:15pm after all the matinee shows have started. It was started to drizzle and I noticed some tables started packing up at 3:30pm! So early! I bought a bunch of t-shirts (nice quality soft cotton) at $1 apiece. I forget the name of the table but when it started raining, they just announced everything on that table was $1 (tshirts, mugs, etc.)

I attended the live auction and the 2 big lot items were: 

1) Conducting "Music of the Night" at Phantom of the Opera. There was a bidding war amongst 3 different parties that ended up with all three winning at $16,000 apiece (so total donation of $48,000 to BCEFA!!!) 

2) United Airlines biz tix to London, 3 night stay at Rosewood London, and tix to see 3 West End Shows. There was a bidding war between 2 parties and it ended up with both parties winning at $20k each (total donation of $40,000 to BCEFA!)

Usually the Opening night tickets auctioned also included tickets to the opening night party but this year I noticed it didn't include opening night party tix (perhaps there is no opening night parties this season?) The highest ones sold were Leopoldstadt ($12,000), KPOP ($12,000), and Some Like it Hot ($12,500). 

I really liked Chris Siebert as the host of the auction. I missed him and it was cool to hear his jokes and hear him sing from time to time.  No I didn't win any of those auctions but I've always found it entertaining to watch. Apparently some of the bidders are regulars and go every year since the auctioneer recognized a good number of them!

Oh and the special Sweeney Todd teaser was a 20 min virtual meeting with Josh Groban!
