OK, here's the deal.

Rush is two hours prior to curtain, two tickets per ID, $26.50 per ticket, best available seats.

I just got back. I was second in line. I got Center Orchestra Row J.

WBaF, could you keep an eye out for merchandise? I have a friend who has been harassing me about getting her a window card should they have one.

EDIT- I just realized that I posted this two minutes after the show started, so yeah... Updated On: 2/26/09 at 08:02 PM

Hey Foster--
How early did you have to get there to get those? And of course, how was it??

I got there at 5:30pm. The guy there before me was there since 3:30pm. By 6:00pm, there were only five people in line.

This box office guy was SO NICE. I got up to the window, and he said, "OK, let me find you the best seat I can, hold on."

It appears that by two hours before the show, the full price and premium seats have just been released for discount sale (the discount code seats in advance are only far side Orchestra and side Mezzanine), so all the good seats are what's available at that point, and they sell the best available for rush.

They do sell a window card, and it's gorgeous. I didn't check the price, though.

The show was pretty great. I would advise waiting until later in previews if you want to see it in tip top shape. The pacing was a bit slow, and Lansbury was having trouble with her lines and projecting. But it was an enjoyable night.

I have a friend who did it three nights ago, and it is still the deal. I'm pretty sure it's staying as is.

You don't need to wait in any line. I did it Saturday night and strolled up to the box office at 6:45 and got tickets in Row P. No waiting needed.

Glad they are doing rush but heads up for anyone thinking about buy balcony seats. I went to see Spamalot the first time back in '06 and I ended up behind a pole in the balcony even though they were sold as full view. Luckly after writting a letter I ended up with house seat for another night re: BLITHE SPIRIT Rush

In case any one was curious about how busy it's been, I was able to get a rush ticket this afternoon at 1:45pm for the 2pm show. So there's no need to get there super early.

Orchestra row M seat 20. It was on the far right, but the seats were still full view. I did move at intermission to an empty seat in the center section, but that was only because the man in front of me had the largest head I've ever seen!

"that was only because the man in front of me had the largest head I've ever seen!"

Hmmm...I moved at intermission too, so your view would not have been obstructed in the 2nd act. Just think, it could have been worse, I could have let my hair out of the pony tail, and you wouldn't have seen anything.

How has the rush been since opening? What time would be good for Sunday?
