Announcement was just made during curtain call of the reunion concert production. Performances begin in April at the Arts Theatre. bonnieandclydemusical.com

Maybe they're keeping the concert staging which looks pretty sparse. 

Looks like American Idiot played the same venue, which is a pretty big show.

Well, if you're going this Spring/Summer you'll also get Amy Adams' "Glass Menagerie", the transfer of "My Fair Lady", Taron Egerton & Jonathan Bailey in "C**k" and a lot more.

Is it not a full West End comtract? Did he not just do Little Shop off-Broadway in a theatre with fewer seats? If they pay him the right price, I’m sure he’ll do it. Actors enjoy playing to smaller houses.

This "review" is bizarre. I've never read another take on this show that found so much to admire.

Just because it’s a smaller house does not mean they wouldn’t pay him what they needed to pay him. You’re making uninformed statements.

As mentioned in the review the cast album has largely influenced the show’s popularity. I imagine they did not anticipate the concert selling out so quickly and I’m not surprised they will try for a transfer.

Exactly. The Arts Theatre has a seating capacity of 350. Jeremy just finished an Off-Broadway stint in ''Little Shop of Horrors'' at the Westside Theatre, which seats 270. Jeremy's also raved about London audiences. So if the money and the timing of a limited run are right, why wouldn't Jeremy consider it?

Just so you all know the Union isn't as strong in the UK and they are paid very less in the UK than their Broadway counterparts. So yeah, I don't see him doing a full run.

It's not about the size of the venue. It's about the Arts theatre which is a truly awful venue. I'd love to have Jeremy in a full run as much as anyone, but then the question is why would they not have announced that with the production seeing as though he is the main selling point.

But would it be less than off-Broadway? Also, the UK in general has lower salaries than the USA - if a union could get Broadway salaries in the West End the shows would quickly shut down as no one could afford the tickets!
 

One of the other advantages of the lower cost west end environment is that shows tend to be able to stay open longer and the same shows often seem to close and reopen (meaning more jobs!). The shows also seem to be filmed much more often! (A shame as I think Broadway is higher quality for musicals). 
 

I guess what I’m trying to say is there are pros and cons of both environments.

I doubt Jeremy Jordan would do it right now but Jordan Luke Gage is leaving “& Juliet” and would be perfect.

The show sold out quickly because of Jeremy Jordan, not because the show itself is particularly beloved. Unless Jeremy does the London run I’m not sure this will be a cult London hit like the producers are hoping it is, although it is in a small venue. It feels like it’s going into the ART theatre to try and emulate Six’s success, but I’m not sure it’s that kind of show tbh. I think a lot will depend on the casting. Happy to see a new show though and hope it succeeds!

Interestingly, this music has gotten big in figure skating. At least three different ice dance teams and a pairs team have used it in the past couple of years. The Canadian team of Fournier Beaudry/Sorensen, in particular, had huge success with it.

Because he has a family and home in New Jersey? He doesn't like being away from his young daughter long and never does Broadway/Off for more than 8 months anymore so I sincerely doubt it. I think they'll get a wonderful West End actor for the role though.

I certainly hope this fares better in the West End than it did on Broadway... I personally love the show and the score (huge Wildhorn fan here). As with most Wildhorn shows, Bonnie and Clyde has amassed a a little bit of a cult following.

You’re probably right, but on the other hand, If I spent the last three years raising a newborn and being cooped up in quarantine, and my husband said let’s move to London for three months this spring, I’d be ecstatic. His daughter is about to turn three, so she’s at the age where she’s walking, talking and probably potty trained. She could easily travel and adapt well. It would be an amazing adventure for his family.
