Posted: 7/14/05 at 3:05pmYep, I'm adding new questions quite frequently now...I mean...I've honestly got nothing better to do in the mornings.

Thanks kindly for posting this. Just a suggestion, you might also want to put something in there about the function you are employing-- you can edit your own post to correct those misspellings, rather than posting again.
Slowly working my way up to understudy (but I'm really close, and it's so exciting!)...

Posted: 7/14/05 at 3:46pmI didn't look back - but did you add the difference between a soundtrack and a cast recording?

"It would be ironic, if Bob LOVED chocolate, but wasn't able to have it due to allergies. Or, it is also ironic that Brooklyn is a sucky show, but with enormous amounts of talent."
LOL. Thank you for that.

Wow it was nice finally learning about the envelopes...Maybe add some of that lottery/student tickets/SRO tickets jazz or at least links to the sites about it...Maybe a mention of TKTS, discount codes for tickets, and a big NO Wicked does not have a discount code! And mention that to find stagedoors you can simply ask the Ushers when at the show or use the search function because its all been discussed a million times...And...thats all I got
...You can kick me if any of this was mentioned and I missed it

Posted: 7/14/05 at 3:54pmNo..I just wanted to first cover most of the bases, but I'll add yours and Nard's comments up there. At first it was meant for newcomers, but I'm beginning to see people might have questions about other things, and you'll have to help me if I'm not all too detailed in things like TKTS. I know a lot, but not EVERYTHING. (unfortunately...)

Aigoo/BluCat -- This site is my favourite one-stop shop for SRO/rush/discount code info: http://www.nytix.com/Links/Broadway/listofcurrentshows.html and of course broadwaybox.com for the actual codes.
Just thought I'd help out :)
You might want to create an index of all these questions up top so we know what all is there. Especially with the length, you want to make sure people know what's there! Plus...I want to know when new stuff is added :)

Posted: 7/14/05 at 4:14pmThanks for the link, music. I'll cram it in there. And thanks for the idea of an index! I hadn't realized how long it became.

Posted: 7/14/05 at 4:15pmMaybe we need a whole other webpage....?

Posted: 7/14/05 at 4:22pmOr this could even sort of replace the Guidelines? Ultimately, I think the very first post (not all our responses) should be pinned by Rob/Craig. Shall we avalanche them with PMs? :)

The responses are EXTREMELY helpful, however. And the index is up.
Ugh. That second to last one was crap. Haha..I couldn't find a way to word it.

Maybe for TKTS mention that going at 7:30 after the lines are gone can be a cool little trick and with a bit of luck you'll often get good seats that have just been released...
...And maybe mention some of the features on this site many don't notice, the map showing all the theaters, that you can see all the seating charts on here
...and clarify that the Lincoln center Tix thing is only for Lincoln center, its just a bit ambiguous
...Once again permission to kick me

Posted: 7/14/05 at 4:36pmYou can see the seating charts?! O_O Haha! No way! I thought it was just a fun thing to play around with! I love googlemaps anyway...

yay, index!
I read what I hadn't :) for example, I did not know that "bump" stood for something!
"Yes, unfortunately, not everybody in the world are theatre fanatics. Handle this situation very calmly..." i. love. this. :)
Also....not to tout the glories of my little website I suggested, but I'd actually place that a little higher under the question because so many people ask "does X have SRO?" "how much is rush for X?" "is it only students?" "is there a discount code"? It answers all those questions in one fell swoop. but.....I bow to the overall vision you have and merely suggest :)
Beautiful work. Even the titles in the index. Your humour is actually what will get the thing read.

Posted: 7/14/05 at 4:45pmMusicandmath, I considered putting your link higher, but I tried to write the FAQs from a point where the reader doesn't really understand much. Your link is sort of the "closer" to all the options that I had mentioned...it would seem bad structured to me if I just threw out this link with all these prices and options on there without explaining anything.

Posted: 7/14/05 at 4:58pmUgh. There is some WEIRD spacing going on...there's like big blank lines and it messed up the thread for a bit. I think it'll be okay now.
