Kerry Butler has already commented on the teaser video so I’m pretty sure she’s going to be in it. But I do think she should be replaced. As much as I love her, she’s too much of a cool mom or a middle aged women on the verge of a breakdown type. She was perfect for Mean Girls, perfect f Heathers but she’s not right for Meredith. The community theater production I saw, Meredith was a soft spoken housewife in an unhappy marriage. Kind of like an Audrey in Little Shop type. Kerry is much too strong for this.

I don’t really see why they would revive a social media account just to tease a cast album we already knew was coming if there’s no revival planned.

But why would they release the cast recording now if a Broadway transfer was in the works? And where’s the city center cast recording of Dear World, that’s the real question.

All these albums are trying to drop their cast albums before the Grammy cut off - which I believe is Monday. It's not "a choice" it's all the time they have.

Evita already released the highlights in October, anyway, which kind of stepped on the full thing.

ER765 has been saying it pretty definitively and they're a pretty reliable source of info; but even without that, the signs are there for something more substantial than the release of an album we already knew was coming. A lot of industry folks have been sharing it on IG and being very coy in a way that a cast album wouldn't typically merit.
