Michael Arden should direct it.
$10 says this takes the New Amsterdam in 3-4 years. Aladdin will probably be due to close by then.
I think it's gonna be a long while before Aladdin goes anywhere. The Broadway production is still grossing over $1,000,000 a week.

Would it be the one to reopen the palace theatre in 2-3 years?
Would Laura Osnes be a fit for belle?
I’d love to see a lavish return of the production. Nothing really reinvented. But just maybe new technology
I think Frozen would likely close before Aladdin, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney tries to open this revival at another theatre and keep those shows running
Listen: I'm SO excited for this
If they want a fresh face to play Belle, I've got an idea. There's this very talented young girl named English Bernhardt. She competed at the Jimmy Awards in 2014 (@1:53), and was in the ensemble of the If/Then national tour.
I even got to interview her in 2016 when the tour was coming through my area.

I just hope they’ll do a better job at it then the other productions of the past few years. A little higher class like the original Broadway version. All out Disney! Super excited!
Does ""I'm not announcing location or time" mean Broadway might not be the first place for the revival?

I hope they don’t try to “improve “ the show. By adding in the songs from the 2017 movie. Other than evermore the songs in my opinion don’t hold a light to the originals and the musical originals. And I would still prefer if I can’t love her.
Unless they just add Evermore to the reprise of if I can’t love her. I’d rather see it three minutes longer than taking out originals
Is it too early to start campaigning for Rachel Zegler to make her Broadway debut as Belle?
I'd love to see the show back on Broadway, but my only concern is that they may try go for a cheaper production. Once the show was reduced when it transferred out of the Palace, it was downhill from there and after seeing the lazy and cheap national tour in 2002, the show was dead to me. If it's not as good or better than the original Palace production, forget it. Don't even try, Disney.

FINALLY. Whenever I've seen a B and the B revival discussed on these threads over the past months, I've had to keep my tongue. I had this insider info for a while, and it's been maddening. There's more to it, but I can't say that either.
Conclusion- I'm down only if they don't model it after the live action film and cast fresh faces for this. There's NO reason to not do so. NONE.
I know I always root for Laura Osnes, but....

Sigh... I really wish I could agree...apart from my belief in using fresh faces for this, I just want someone INTERESTING. Laura would be such a snooze fest in this role, and the trend of casting the typical ingenues in the regional market for this show over these last few years drives me crazy. Egan certainly wasn't what I would call the usual ingenue, she's very distinct in look, voice, and presence which is why I wonder why the need to cast this so traditionally prevails.
Of the recent young leading ladies on Broadway, I’d like to imagine Hailey Kilgore or Eva Noblezada in the role.

I’d like for Michael Arden to direct AND play the Beast. He’d be fantastic at both.

Hailey came to mind as well.
Disney was quietly workshopping a revised version of the stage show that brought in the film remake’s changes, plus added use of puppets that more closely match that movie’s depictions of the enchanted characters (as opposed to the “actors in costume” version that is currently done). I believe the puppet version has been seen regionally.
I believe that’s performed on one of their cruise ships.

Interesting. The use of puppetry is certainly demanding, but I wonder if humans in costume are more charming (Double event puppets may be tuning into the Disney house style). I can understand bringing in many of the backstory changes, but they need to bring something more than “the remake on stage”. I hope the songs from the original Broadway version stay in.
This could be fairly successful. The “safe and marketable” approach is a much better fit for Beauty and the Beast than it is for the likes of Frozen. I think that Aladdin and Frozen will be around for a bit more, but I have a feeling that one or both of them could close by the end of the 2020-21 season. In that case, I can imagine BTAB will be a solid replacement...
I also would love any of your choices for Belle that have been mentioned. Hailey and Eva would kill A Change in Me and Arden would be so fantastic as the Beast! If he nailed it as Quasi, he would nail it as the Beast.
Yeah Kad, that was their cruise show that was workshopped. Though I would not be shocked to see anything from the live action movie transfer into the show. Gay Lefou, Evermore instead of IICLH reprise, the yellow dress, the Audra McDonald version of the Wardrobe and the piano etc.
