I watched the movie Life recently and he was nothing short of wonderful. Even though the plot is something we've a million times, I enjoyed the movie. That ending was completely surprising. Beyoncé.
(added that last bit so I could connect it to the thread topic)
The Evolution of this thread, to someone, like me, who just read the whole thing in one sitting, is quite impressive.

Literally. If a Bandstand thread went into discourse of what's considered a favorite show; and another discussing a deleted thread that somehow ended up being yet another race debate are indications, anything can happen on BWW.

The reaction video post Beyonce meeting was showed on the Today Show. It was hilarious. Laura crying on the floor is the exact reaction I would have.
I think that video was cringe-worthy. I mean, Beyonce is just another person. If even fellow actors/singers are behaving like this, where can she turn to to be treated normally? I think Beyonce would feel a lot more comfortable around them if they behaved normally and treated her like a real person. You can say you respect her artistry or admire her for her accomplishments, but come on, crying? What if they have to work on the same movie/show/project in the future? Will they behave like this too?

i'm pretty sure beyoncé knows the effect she has on people, if Adele grovels before her i think she's used to by now
1. I'm sure they weren't hysterically crying and "fangirling" over her and annoying her. I've seen pictures and they were talking normally and shaking hands.
2. Beyonce is Ben's hero and he's been trying to get her to come to the show for months, so of course he's very happy when she comes.
3. They're allowed to be fans of her. Yeah, sure, they're celebrities, too, but we're talking about Beyoncé here.

I doubt they acted like this in front of her. They are professionals. I mean most people will fangirl over their favorite celebrities
Yes, let's judge people for being overwhelmed to meet their faves. That sounds kind.
I'm not one to write about other people's sexuality, but I think it's important not to erase queer people 'queerness' (I'm using the term because I don't know what Ben identifies as), but Ben has definitely publicly said he's dated men. One occasion that comes to mind was last year's Tony red carpet (I think), when Tyler Mount asked him about his first break-up and he used 'he' to refer to his ex. So he doesn't hide it, and it's important we acknowledge that.

Pictures before and after it is obvious Laura was just fake crying and making a joke at the moment.
I wouldn't know Beyonce if I fell over her at a Wall Mart.
She's a singer-Benn Platt likes her singing/style/appearance?-she comes to see him perform and meets him afterwards-he's excited-big deal.
There's waaaaaay too much fuss made over entertainers--just see the show-applaud-and go home.
This obsessive need to twitter[?] your every word and action--schsssch, the world was a much safer place when you couldn't find a pay phone[that worked].
Now let me go check out the Frozen melt-down and look again at those ridiculous plastic bag icicles on the bridge.

Unless there is video or an article with him publicly stating that, it's really important not to say crap like that as if it were a fact. It's not.

Oh, and I never understood freaking out over meeting another human being. They are just people, they chose to be in a field, they are successful, and rich. And? Who cares? It's exciting, sure, but ridiculous to freak out and scream. I love that Brandon Urie called people out on it and just stopped doing the stage door. No one likes people screaming in their face. Why would you want to scream in someone's face that you actually like? Don't get it.

There's no need to be so harsh, as I'm not being disrespectful to anyone, and the 'pics or it didn't happen' culture doesn't have to be stay on 24/7. Not everything has to be recorded, specially when it's done publicly, because it's not a secret. I said he's spoken PUBLICLY about it, which he has, so I'm sure more people have seen it/could confirm it. While you are right not to trust me, you could google a little, since he's spoken publicly about it; it isn't a secret, a piece of news or a rumour, it's something that's been out there for a while.
But, if you really want the video, I've found it and I hope it's good enough to prove this kind of 'crap': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDaKEymggXs&t=2m37s

Haha. Such a quick response at this hour? Cool. Ok....cool he was 16 and dated a guy. It does not mean he's gay, he could be many different things. Yeah, that video with that horribly obnoxious host that Lin-Manuel just wanted to slap. Thanks. Yuck. It means nothing now that he's 23.

I never said he's gay, and you'd do well to stop thinking people 'grow out' of being gay (specially if someone identifies as gay at the "very young" age of 16).
And, about the hour, I've been working at night and sleeping during the day. Night jobs are great for people with insomnia.
if Ben Platt is gay it's okay everyone. people are also allowed to love celebrities. stop telling people they can't love who they want!

Why bring race up?
"Dave teaches everyone to think and act in "people" would be a better title. It also applies to this situation.

Oh my God, that is not what I meant in any way. That's ridiculous. What I meant was he could be homosexual, bisexual, and/or pansexual. You are born the way you are born, end of story.
Straight 23 year old men, don't love Beyonce in that way. And helvizz' video link proves that...
