It's not really Broadway but I saw actor Jayce Bartok (The Station Agent / SubUrbia), and Carlin Glynn with husband Peter Masterson at the recent staged reading of "Commentaire d'Amour".

Glynn/Masterson were there for obvious reasons; their daughter Mary Stuart was performing it. Bartok is the writer and actor in MSM's upcoming directorial debut.

- Kevin Sorbo at Avenue Q last October (he was in the audience and invited backstage, and later we saw him leaving the stagedoor)
- Jason Bateman talking to Jay Reiss across the street from CITS after a Saturday evening performance of Bee
- Christopher Seiber chatting with a friend outside B.B. King's restaurant on 42nd
- Anthony Rapp at Altar Boyz
- Norbert Leo Butz at Rite-Aid
- Numerous Broadway celebrities relaxing in the plaza behind Dodger Stages (i.e. Fred Weller, Christopher McDonald, Spelling Bee cast members, etc.)
- Not sure if this counts: Joe from Real World Miami at Starbucks

Joey Fatone played Mark in RENT, as did Drew Lachey.

Couple more sitings I forgot to mention:

-Hank Azaria walked right by me while I was at the DRS stage door. He was listening to his iPod and walking to the beat it seemed, lol. We all started flipping out and he waved at us, he looked really cute, too!
-While heading to see The Pillowman David Hyde Pierce walked by me (wish I had said something, I LOVE him, lol).

In regards to somebody saying if they saw Hugh Jackman they'd die. I had just been introduced to John Lithgow and was just standing on stage with my mom and my friend while Greg Jbara and John were talking. I was staring at the stairs (knowing Hugh was in John's DR and hoping he'd come down) and I heard the gorgeous Australian accent descend. lol. I was just staring (I think my mouth may have been open) he saw me and waved, smiled, and winked. It was so exciting! lol....Even though he hugged me before a performance of Boy From Oz and then took a picture with me and called me love, gahh. *end fangirlness*

Drew Lachey was Mark in Rent, not Nick.

While at work I've seen a lot (but that doesn't count, I don't think, because I was at work, and they're celebrities in general and not Broadway stars) but these are the ones I have seen on the street by coincidence...

- Michelle Federer, looking very intense as she switched from the shuttle to one of the other subway lines at Times Square.

- Bernadette Peters, who hums when she walks her dogs.

- Kristin Chenoweth, who stopped to talk to Bernadette Peters (and was also walking her dog.) Same day as above.

- Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick (spelling?) going in to Tasty Delight. No hat or sunglasses or bodyguards or anything--and nobody around them seemed to notice or care.

- Kristin Chenoweth again, in a department store. She's very chatty. Very nice. This was a long time ago.

- Julia Murney, going (presumably) to a Lennon rehearsal before Lennon began its Broadway run. This was near the Hilton Theater.

- Tonya Pinkins on the subway. I actually stopped her and told her that I was a huge Caroline or Change fan, and I think I took her by surprise, because i think she normally gets recognized (if at all) by fans of All My Children, and not for her theater work. She was really nice, and seemed generally enthused.

- Idina Menzel IN subway.

- John Tartaglia getting lunch in Times Square.

- Jennifer Laura Thompson, once while passing by a fast food place (she was inside with her son in a stroller,) and then numerous times on the subway. The subway one is a funny story, though, because she actually recognized me (from where I work--we became acquaintances) and I did NOT recognize her. (We were both bundled up tight for winter, and she had glasses on.) She called out my name and I turned, and looked at her funny (as in, "how do you know my name? Are you an axe murderer? What do you want?") and she turned bright red and slumped down in her seat, looking completely embarrassed. It was at this point that I recognized her, and we both laughed.

When I saw Aida in Previews Elton John and Tim Rice were sitting a few rows ahead of me (They left before intermission though).

Tom Hanks and his family were sitting in front of me at The Music Man. (he gave me the worst cold of my life!) ... and Peter Gallagher and his family was sitting a few rows ahead of us with his family.

When I went to see Hairspray I had dinner in the steakhouse next door and Carly Jibson was eating dinner with whoever was playing FAF at the time (sorry can't remember her name). Then in the theater I saw Sean Hayes from Will & Grace watching the show.

My favorite one was when me and a friend were in NY on vacation over Memorial Day. We went to Zabars to get stuff for a picnic in Central Park. We are standing in a long line to check out and my friend turns and looks behind us, then she whips around and tugs on my arm whispering "It's her! It's her!" Behind us in line was the mini-diva, Kristen Chenowith! We probably embarrassed the heck out of her but we gushed over her and she walked with us out the store for a block until we went to the park and she left. COOLNESS!

Don't f*ck with me fellas. This ain't my first time at the rodeo.

Sorry, you're right, it was Drew. The entire time I was saying, it was Drew, the brother, not Nick, and wound up putting Nick, lol.

OH! And also...

When I was at Sardi's Robert Goulet was there having dinner. Updated On: 12/12/05 at 04:38 PM

-John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Matt Damon, Joel Grey, and Barbar Walters at The Boy From Oz.
-Claire Danes at the stage door for The Pillowman

This is a little off topic(I think), but awhile ago me and my mom went into the city for The Producers and All Shook Up(It was a Wednesday) and there was massive traffic and some of the roads were closed off and there was a lot of NYPD cruisers going by. The next day, we find out that Jack Nicholson and Bill Clinton were in the area. I would've freaked out if I saw Jack Nicholson because I am such a huge fan of his.

This isn't mine, but a friend of mine was in the city with some of her friens and she said they went into a store, so that she could get water and I believe she said he was infront of her, but she ran into Tim Curry. She didn't have a pen or something for him to sign, so apparently he gave her and her friends a hug.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson - Nov. 16th at the Matinee of "Sweeney Todd". Saw him going back to his seat and stopped and briefly chatted with him. Was wondering why he was not at Spelling Bee, but did not ask. He was very gracious and I think he is just a doll!

SPELLING BEE does not have a Wednesday matinee.

Liz McCartney at DRS first preview

I was seated directly behind her. She was very cute and we chatted at intermission. She was recognized by several young TABOO fans and happily signed autographs for them at intermission. Brooke Shields was also at the that performance.

Jerry Van Dyke sat right behind me at Spelling Bee over the summer, and I sat next to Celia Keenan-Bolger on the subway when I was heading to see Lennon (also, obviously, over the summer re: Broadway Celebrity Sightings).

-I saw Idina at this random bagel store in NYC during the summer of '04. She had these two, huge-ass grocery bags like, overflowing with bagels. For some reason, at the time I found this hysterical.

-I saw Jennifer Laura Thompson at a flea market in the Upper West Side. We both reached for the same pair of earrings. Haha.

-Saw Barrett Foa at Spelling Bee.

Taye Diggs walked past me at the DRS stage door. I saw Greg Jbara two weeks ago on the subway, and I was in line at J. Crew a few months ago behind Christine Ebersole.

Also not Broadway, but I sat behind Nora Ephron at Third. Didn't ask her why Bewitched sucked so bad.

Saw F. Murray Abraham at Forbidden Broadway.

I sat in front of Someone That Looked Famous (had the aura thing going) at Piazza, but I still haven't figured out who it was.
