CHICAGO will be fine once it comes out of the Winter slump.
I'm surprised MERMAID doesn't have a higher attendance.

CURTAINS - OUCH!

Posted: 1/28/08 at 5:20pmXanadu must have deep pockets...staying open while filling only half the Helen Hayes?! So much for a "hit".

Posted: 1/28/08 at 5:21pmI can't imagine XANADU is going to last much longer.

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 1/27/2008#10
Posted: 1/28/08 at 6:04pmThey also took out a full page ad in the Times last week announcing they are closing June 1st, so neddy, I don't think that extension you were talking about is going to happen.

Posted: 1/28/08 at 6:08pmRent's not closing for another four months though. The Color Purple is closing much sooner, and even though it's in the same range it was last week, I would've expected an increase.

XANADU is hoping on getting some TONY nods so they are trying to stick it out until then.

^^^ I agree. I think I post my thoughts on that on another thread...they'll stick around..if they dont.. they might probably just close and tour.

Yup, the New Year doldrums are upon us
Now we can expect a number of good TDF offerings for shows we have wanted to see.
