There is no way Lysistrata Jones can last much longer.
And yikes! On a Clear Day took a HUGE hit. I wonder what happened there.

One word.... OUCH. Also even after a nyt rave Lysistrata Jones only went up 9 grand, time for the producers to give it up...
I'm glad to see my favorite show "Chicago" inching up a bit more in the grosses. from R C in Austin, Texas
ON A CLEAR DAY had a 30% drop in gross potential. That's sorta insane. They must have zero advance and nearly everything sold last week was either TDF or TKTS.
OUCH. And most shows are probably selling out this week.

Ahh...Thanks, Smaxie. I need to clean my reading glasses.
Terrible week even for the shows (like Godspell) that appealed to the tourist herds.
If that's the best Bonnie and Clyde, Lysistrata Jones, and On A Clear Day can do on Christmas week, they need to fold up the tents and move on. January is only gonna get worse...
How come "War Horse" is gone from the listing?

Hard to convince the folks at Wicked and Phantom that it was a bad week.
I don't understand how Lysistrata Jones is staying open. They must be bleeding money and it's only gonna get worse after New Years.
And Sister Act looks like its in trouble..

Man, I wish Anything Goes would continue on this decline and get the hell out of Sondheim's theatre. I'm not saying only shows on his level should be there, but one space reserved for shows of some depth would be nice. Pee Wee never should have been allowed.
As for Lysistrata, I don't know what they're thinking. The reviews have been merciful at best, but when you can't even get an audience of tourist to watch your crappy show in a space that small, it's time to through in the towel.
It's a shame Billy and Follies can't close on a higher note. They both deserve it, but oh well.
it also needs to be noted that about half the shows only played 7 performances that week, and this week they're playing 9 performances. Fell bad for Sister Act, was hoping for better numbers.
This week is a good week to use as a barometer to sort out the chiff and the chaff and there is a lot of chaff!
JMPlayer6, "War Horse" is there, second to last.
I suspect the numbers wil be up this week. Aren't more people in town this week anyway?
Happyphantom- You know Sondheim doesn't own or have any say in the operation of that theatre, right?

Anything Goes is still doing well, it'll definetly run until April at least, don't know if Roundabout will extend it further.
Mary Poppins I think will close once Disney has a big new show ready for The New Amsterdam. Both Priscilla and Sister Act may not be around after Easter. On a Clear Day looks like it'll be gone by mid January.
A friend who was in NY this past week got two free tickets to LYSISTRITA JONES while she was at the TKTS line, I think it's fair to say it's not gonna last long.
I also wonder how shows like CHINGLISH and STICK FLY are sticking around.
I feel worried about January (as I always do), I hope most shows are able to survive the cold winter days.
