Not that I think it will make a difference in the long run, but they are performing tonight on Late Night with Seth Meyers. I'm not sure what number they are doing, but as far as I'm aware it's not Time to Dance again, which is good. I love it dearly, but this show needs all the marketing help it can get.

Much as I love "Time to Dance" and the kid/ensemble focused numbers, I really wish they'd show off some of the funnier material from the egomaniac actors - I feel like people have no clue what this show is about... and that's so much of what it's about. And also what makes it unique.

They should do "It's Not About Me" or "Zazz" or "Changing Lives"...

Hard to say until we know if it is a commercial business or a vanity project.

I think the problem with "The Prom" is its title. People remember their own proms and don't want to visit that part of their life.

Harry is actually signed until July, same as Laura. Danny is there until end of April

Kong isn't a vanity production as that expression is used but it certainly may run well beyond its stick a fork in it date for reasons having nothing to do with the grosses.

FWIW, my wife and I are the older straight category, and we both found the show very entertaining.

I thought the Prom got some buzz from its Thanksgiving Day parade performance. That's how a lot of my lgbt friends first heard of the show (and we live in NYC!)

I get the impression that this was news that just broke during the last couple of days. Maybe she has been making some guest appearances all along.

You don't think that the rest of the cast will be put off? I saw the show not too long ago on a Tuesday night with Kerston and half the orchestra was empty. Only forty were in the entire orchestra left, leaving a wide expanse of empty seats. I felt so bad for the cast having to look out on a sea of empty seats while performing in the "best musical of the season." (Times and New Yorker)
