Shucked is really looking impressive. Another decent jump. KA held steady but SLIH and NYNY came back down a bit.

86% attendance for OUAOMT is a GREAT improvement from the 72% of last week! Still can do a lot better, it needs exposure!

The producers care about the financial grosses more than the attendance. If I'm making 3 million per week and the theater is at 50% capacity, what would I care?
"
Is Shucked making money with these numbers?

Shucked producers think otheewise

"The rise in box office is a bet that’s paid off for producer Mike Bosner, who made the decision early on to offer old-fashioned preview prices to attract cautious ticket-buyers, gambling that the musical would charm its way into a wave of good word-of-mouth and maybe even a place at the Tonys. Fill the seats, he thought, and the higher ticket prices could come later."

It had it's best week, grossing over 800K and numbers have been steadily going up. I am not sure how much their nut is, but they should be making money now I reckon.
I was expecting a dip for most shows after a strong week previously. Plus it was a beautiful holiday weekend. Don't think many locals were looking to take in a show that weekend. I think everyone will start to see a steady climb from now through the summer(excluding July 4 week).

Better attendance is nice for WOM, but this show has the second worst average ticket price on Broadway right now, and will probably assume that spot when a wounded Bad Cinderella (yikes!) limps off on Sunday. They just extended their $50 deal for the next 2.5 weeks of previews and included A LOT more what would otherwise be premium or mid-premium seats.
Look at the seating map for the Wednesday matinee tomorrow and also Saturday night and tell me what your feelings are then.

Based on your logic, maybe all shows should be $1, why do they charge more then?

Boy Kimberly Akimbo just can't seem to make the needle move even with all the TONY nominations

It’s a quirky who with a weird title. At least they’re making some money
Summer, 1976 is doing a lot better than most MTC shows. The best weeks they’ve seen since The Little Foxes if I’m not mistaken.

Mike Bosner, in that Deadline interview, was understandably a bit coy about Shucked’s nut. But he wasn’t that coy. It’s making money now, according to him.
The show’s average ticket price, which was very low with all the discounts during previews, is climbing slowly but steadily each week. It’s still not great ($88) but is going in the right direction.

When the grosses come out, who reads the spreadsheet layout of stats and interprets the numbers first
vs
who reads the summaries first about top 5 and bottom 5 and then looks at the detailed stats?
curious

I was thinking the same thing. A big hit for them. I checked back on the grosses at the Friedman and they are almost identical to My Name is Lucy Barton. Seems to be the Laura Linney effect!

By summary, do you mean the stuff posted in the first message of each thread? I usually go to the spreadsheet and sort by average price and then go down the line that way.
I'm very curious to see how the Grey House reviews end up going, seeing as they were somewhat polarizing on this board. Since Tatiana was out last week does that mean this week will mostly be comps for the critics?
I know it's not a huge change yet, but I wonder if NYNY could be starting to lose steam/the bad reviews have caught up to it. The disparity between average ticket price ($130) and attendance capacity (59%) for Good Night, Oscar seems a little shocking. I wonder if it's similar to Neil Diamond where it's mainly older folks who know Oscar Levant (and are less likely to use discounts) that are going (though I'm not sure if they have a ton of discounts out either).

I was at Good Night Oscar over the weekend and the crowd in the orchestra was definitely on the older side. I think that the crowd also skews older because Sean Hayes is known for his portrayal of Jack McFarland on Will & Grace in the late 90s and early 2000s. The show was revived in 2017 but it was never as popular as the original. The people who are Sean Hayes fans are mainly older folks.
