Holy **** that’s a big jump for Beetlejuice. Come From Away, Mr. Saturday Night and Paradise will be gone by September.

EDIT: Just saw MSN only had 4 performances

I should’ve been Blac Chyna.

Multiple shows have a $0 difference from week to week, which seems odd to me.  Could that be a glitch?

Hmmm... seems to be a pretty mixed bag of a week.

Strange Loop keeping their attendance and grosses up is so good to see. If this si what nominations can do for it, that show will probably start to do even better after their wins!

Also good to see Beetlejuice pop back up! I feel pretty confident saying that it'll still be around and I'll finally get to see it when I get back to the City in late August. Curious to see how consistent its grosses will be though because it's been pretty volatile so far.

Super disappointing to see POTUS drop after it's consistently increased every week since it started. Still hoping they can keep chugging along and start doing better as more summer breaks start.

Company's drop is also disappointing, but I'm sure they'll be fine for the next two weeks and then will get hopefully get a Tony-powered boost too.

Come From Away keeps breaking my heart! I think it's time to either close or move it off-Broadway. I don't think anybody would want that space before the Fall, so hopefully they can stay open through the summer.

A STRANGE LOOP continues its meteoric rise thanks to its Tony nods and I am HERE for it.

Once again, PARADISE SQUARE…sigh.

It should be noted that FOR COLORED GIRLS probably took a hit this week because it was supposed to be closed already (and the original performance dates refunded), but extended and so the length of sale for these performances was very brief.

Has to be a glitch. Birthday Candles and Mrs. Doubtfire reporting exactly the same grosses and capacity %?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I feel like Company needs some starry casting to keep it running. Those numbers aren’t great. It needs a revitalization of sorts.

ASL had a meteoric rise due to Whoopi’s review on THE VIEW last week. Everyone wanted to see the musical she called “annoying “.

As for PS, she hasn’t reviewed it yet but once she has, she will turn that box office around for them.

You go Whoopi!

You have NO idea if the rise in ASL's box office has "all" to do with Whoopi. (I'm not saying her plug has NOTHING to do with it, mind you.)    While I didn't love it, I know a lot of people that did - word of mouth is powerful.

Will it help Paradise Square?  Who knows. And if she hasn't talked about it by now, maybe she isn't going to.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

They haven't been corrected here yet, but Birthday and Doubtfire have been updated on the Broadway League site and in Deadline's writeup.

https://www.broadwayleague.com/research/grosses-broadway-nyc/

https://deadline.com/2022/06/broadway-box-office-may-29-holds-steady-1235036478/

"UPDATE, with revised figures for Birthday Candles, Mrs. Doubtfire .

Three shows played their final performances: Birthday Candles starring Debra Messing took in $328,372, a boost of $57,735 over the previous week, with attendance at 81% of capacity during the last week of its limited engagement. Mrs. Doubtfire, which resumed performances in April following a winterlong Covid-prompted hiatus, closed out its shortened engagement with a $725,700, a $215,725 jump, and attendance at 95% of capacity."
