$1,275,918 for Three Tall Women is truly insane. What a smash hit of a production that was.
Very happy to see Angels in America broke the $1 million barrier!

YES for OOTI! I hope it can cross the 700K mark next week. It deserves success
Yay for SpongeBob over the $1 Million mark! (Barely, but like...yay!)
Also - how crazy for Come From Away to gross more than Book of Mormon? 1.5 years ago, I don't think ANYONE would've believed that. How incredible.

Nothing was officially announced, but I'm sort of leaning toward no. The show was HEAVILY discounted in previews and, though the show really blew up after the reviews came out, and then again after the Tonys, I can't imagine Glenda Jackson and Laurie Metcalf come cheap (especially the former, making her grand Broadway return after many decades away).
It was truly a stellar production and worth every cent I spent on it. I even got an upgrade on show night because the left "box" area was empty, and so the usher moved my friend and I down there from the last row of the mezzanine because she saw I was not going to fit comfortably in my seat (at 6'8).
Glenda Jackson's "A" spinning a yarn about receiving a bracelet from her naked lover that was hanging on his erect penis was worth the price of admission alone.

Well, it's still going strong. And who would have thought, ten years ago, that shows like Dear Evan Hansen, Come From Away, and The Book of Mormon would become smash hits on Broadway, while the likes of Spider-Man would flop?! l think that's a good sign.
It looks like it's time for Kinky Boots to post a closing notice...

A thousand times this.

It made nearly $750K this week... how expensive do you think the weekly nut is that this would mean closing up shop?

Wonder if KB has another round of box office boosting casting coming up? I think A Bronx Tale has run on far less than KB's numbers for a year now. Probably more important does any new show have its eye on the KB theater. Bronx has been running in a less desirable house. Would love to hear that phone call from Jordan Roth president of Jujamcyn Theaters to Daryl Roth producer of KB. "Mother, I want you out!"

OOTI is slowly but surely rising. Two weeks have shown more and more financial improvements. They also played to 103.18% capacity this week. Thrilled for them. I’m also hoping they can make it to 700,000 next week.

FIRST POST after stalking these boards a long time haha!
Eeeek, that is one BIG drop for Waitress grosses with Kat McPhee on vacation! I love the show (seen it 5 times now, with every Jenna on Broadway except Stephanie Torns) so I hope it can continue to thrive, but I wonder if it will need to keep bringing in big names in order to do so. I guess Sara Bareilles could always come in and do a 1 or 2 month stint if ever they need to bring in some extra cash lol! I can’t wait for it to finally come to the West End. Apparently next year!!
Oh and if anyone who loves the show gets the chance, you HAVE to go see it with Kat McPhee in it before her second stint ends. She is maybe my fave Jenna out of all of them, and definitely the one who made me cry the most! Gorgeous voice and so heartbreakingly acted. Seeing Sara was special too because I’ve been a fan for years and so to hear her singing the songs she wrote was just <3
Sorry, got off topic ....

My Fair Lady's grosses have been steadily going up, wonder if it'll become open ended like other Lincoln Center revivals?
Well, my NYC trip is almost to an end. Currently eating my farewell meal at Buddakan. Trying not to cry into my dessert. My three favorite productions this trip were Angels in America (I seriously considered extending my trip just so I could do the Wednesday marathon again), Three Tall Women, and The Iceman Cometh.
Anyone know if these three shows (I’m aware now that TTW either recouped or it didn’t as it has closed) have a chance at recouping? Broadway needs vital theater such as these.
In the past, I’ve seen more musicals by a vast majority. This trip taught me to broaden my horizons.
I’m thinking Haterobics or Hogan will know the chances of my favorite productions recouping.

I think it already is. It's on sale through January (after initially being on sale thru September), and I see no reason why they wouldn't extend again.
MFL's initial "limited engagement" was also longer than King and I and South Pacific (they were on sale thru July then extended, this was on sale through September and then extended right after opening).
I wonder if there's any chance of THREE TALL WOMEN playing London after Laurie's done filming the Roseanne spinoff? With or without Allison Pill, it would probably do even better over there.
Maybe we could also get Glenda's KING LEAR over here, now that 3TW did so well. Though I also wonder if it made a profit. Rudin usually announces when his shows recoup, but maybe he's changing his ways after DOLLY's supposed late recoupment (and I can't imagine ICEMAN is going to return its money).
Once again, Springteen grossed more than almost every other show, and it only played 5 performances. Truly staggering.
And SUMMER still pulls in over $1M per week. WOW!
I would think 3TW has to have made some money! It can’t be that expensive to run, and the design is gorgeous but rather simple. I have to say the guy playing the son and his understudy have the best job on Broadway right now.

A HUGE drop at Waitress?? It dropped mostly because they dropped the ticket prices for the weeks that Kat is on vacation... but they obviously don't have the same costs when she isn't there either. The theater was still practically full all week with standing room at least once. I don't think you need to worry about a show that filling 93% of capacity.
The only Jenna you haven't seen is Stephanie? You are missing one fabulous performance. Every Jenna has their own special charm with the role for sure but Stephanie is probably my personal favorite.

Have they announced anything else for the Vivian Beaumont?

I agree. I found out right before I saw Waitress in November that Betsy was out for a few performances including mine and Stephanie was in for her. I was initially disappointed. I was worried for no reason. Stephanie was wonderful in the show.

According to a Theater Talk interview, it is open ended.
