I just viewed "Broadway on Broadway". I was disappointed that the big stars that used to appear were missing. I expected Patti LuPone, for example. Anyway, I missed the show for the first number. I think the song was "Brand New You". What show is this from? Also, the song from "Pure Country" is unknown to me. It was something about Come on, Gettin' Good Tonight. I stayed for the entire 2 hours but never saw "13". Did I miss it? Good Performances were "Wicked", "Chicago", "Phantom", "Jersey Boys","Heights", "Q", "Mermaid", "Spamalot" ,"Xanadu", Mamma Mia" and "Awakening". Disappointed in "Hairspray", and "Gypsy. It was fun but a bit long and hot. A white tent in front of the stage ruined my view so I had to watch from the big Panasonic screen which was improved greatly over last years.

What did Jersey Boys perform? Was it the regular actors or understudies?

Thanks. I thought the title was "Brand New You" but no such title is listed for the soundtrack of "13".

Billy Elliot did do a performance (they were the last show to perform).

Jersey Boys performed Can't Take My Eyes Off of You (Michael singing).

It's the final track on the tracklisting at Sh-K-Boom.

Hahahahaha, right. That's funny you were expecting her.

I had fun at the show today. Got there kind of late so I was further back, but had a great view of the big screens.

I have to say I got teary during (tos) when I heard Heidi sing A WAY BACK TO THEN with a full orchestra, It was magical.

And what was that cowboy number?

Yes, guess Ms. LuPone is a prima donna. In the past, I've seen bigger "stars" perform live at this concert. Billy Elliot did, "Once We Were Kings". What did "Tale of Two Cities" and "Title of Show" perform? I was there but never heard the song titles.

Agreed. It gave me lots of chills. Both she and the orchestra sounded so amazing.

I knew it was something like that - thank you

Kerry did TWAI very well - but I don't like her as much as I enjoy Block

Did she do anything fancy to it or just do it exactly how it's written? On "that site", there are clips of her doing TWAI at special events in London and she always did some crazy riffs and the like.

She did do some riffs I'm not used to hearing towards the end of the song. I enjoyed her performance.

I went today for the first time and totally enjoyed every number, i do have to say that it was really hott, but at least it started snowing later on thru the concert (yes the number from "White Christmas" used fake snow that filled all of Times Square, kinda,) well i recorded most of the performances. I was lucky to get a good spot almost in front of the stage.

I'll post them when i have the time to upload them. here r some pics meanwhile of chicago, [tos], and john leguizamo

Was able to catch the last half hour of the show from 43rd St. behind the stage near one of the police barricades. Sierra Boggess walked right by me, and Tony Roberts and Mary Testa had a hard time getting through to walk to the Hayes.

Nothing was funnier than Roberts' saying "But we're in Xanadu!"

I love that Kerry Ellis showed up for this, but couldn't manage to perform the matinee today.

Not trying to start anything adamgreer, but there is a big difference between doing one number and doing a near 3-hour show. I'm not taking sides, I'm just saying.
