https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/STAGE-TUBE-Watch-Highlights-from-BULLETS-OVER-BROADWAY-on-Tour-20151021 in this links cast list they have Michael Williams listed who apparently was in the most recent Broadway revival of On the town and then they have someone named Jeff brooks who was in the Broadway production of Beauty and the beast. Unless they messed up with names I still see Broadway credits.

Different people with the same name. The Jeff Brooks from Broadway's BatB is 65 years old (though, ironically, the Bullets' Jeff was in the show on tour), and the Michael Williams from On the Town is an African American actor as opposed to Bullets' caucasian.

Actors Equity has something they don't like to get out. It's a right to work status.
This is my understanding of it.
This means you lose Actors Equity Right to Vote, Can not audition for an Equity show while you are inthat status at the Equity Auditions or come to the Equity Audiition Room. You can get a audition with an agent.
Let's face it... jobs are hard to come by and some actors (as a friend of mine in the show with many Actors Equity credits) adopted this status. He is playing a major supporting role and doesn't regret it one iota. In fact he played many leads/supporting leads in Non Union Tours and works steadily in the non union tours.
Actors want to work That is why they adopt this status. That is why you are seeing actors with Broadway credits in the non union tour.
Well, if she' still paying his dues then he's scabbing which is highly looked down upon. And if he is doing tours and no Equity anymore, then he gave up his card, which is a bitch to get back at that point. Either way, it seems like a stupid thing to do.
I'm at the show tonight. I'll make sure to write a review when it's over. https://instagram.com/p/BAqb18EF2qKRaD17C-RNu54zOroc30slwujEHY0/
This show fine with some pretty hysterical moments. For a non-equity production it's pretty amazing. Especially the cast. The only problem I had was that there was only one person of color on that stage and I didn't notice until the finale, because she had extremely light skin. I don't know if this is common among non-equity productions, but that type of casting should not be allowed anywhere. Even if it's a show set in the 20's.
I was equally amazed at the quality of the performances by everyone onstage. Whatever non-Equity means these days it sure doesn't mean bad. I also agree with you on the all-white cast - they need to do better.
Spanish, Italian, Jewish, and Gay aren't not a diverse enough cast for you?
No actually
I was pretty impressed when I saw it in L.A.
Well then I don't know what to tell you? It's a show based in a historical context.
Has anyone seen the tour lately?
Saw it about a month ago on a one-nighter in Key West, FL.
It was tight, well-sung and enjoyable. The show itself remains the issue, not the performances. Sure, it was a bummer not getting that incredible Broadway set, but this non-eq crew works hard, makes it look effortless and comes away a winner. Catch it if you can.

Saw the show in Ames, IA earlier this year. I thought the show was boring and left at intermission

Saw it a couple months ago in St. Paul. It's terrible. The non-union cast is very young (the woman playing the DIanne Wiest part of a veteran stage performer is in her early 20s, I believe) and, in some cases, not very good (the woman playing the Jennifer Tilly part is shrill but not funny at all).

I saw it in Sarasota about 6 weeks ago and I can honestly say that I remember virtually nothing about it. Well hardly anything. The woman who did the Jennifer Tilly role was so over the top that she took the fun out of it. I hated The Hot Dog Song (I am not the least bit prudish...just thought it was tasteless and didn't fit. Thought the closing was awful. That's all I remember.

This explains so much about you. This is truly one of the worst shows to tour in years
Ugh. That came out bitchy. So sorry.
