re: 'Catch Me If You Can' artwork

The film's opening title sequence was brilliant - so brilliant that they even did a parody of it on The Simpsons.

I agree about the movie's credits. In my opinion, the opening titles were the best scene in the movie.

Updated the first post with the new artwork. Looks like the arrows from the movie's opening credits are back.

Like the new artwork.

When are we anticipating this to debut on Broadway?

thank god
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

New artwork as seen on Broadway.com
What do you think??

re: 'Catch Me If You Can' artwork

The heel is very clever. His body looks a little feminine to me, and I'm a little bothered by how large "Catch Me" is in compared to "If You Can." Otherwise, pretty nice. I couldn't be more excited for this show.

I'm excited about the show, but that NYT artwork has to go, preferably emphasizing the two lead characters (NOT Butz and Tveit in particular, but the characters themselves -- after all, they are the reason for the show's being in existence in the first place).

That new artwork spells FLOP to me. It reminds me of the many flops from the past..... I was excited to see the show until now. :/

re: 'Catch Me If You Can' artwork

I don't really think "bad" artwork necessarily means the show is going to be a flop.
If I didn't believe in you We'd never have gotten this far If I didn't believe in you And all of the ten thousand women you are If I didn't think you could do Anything you ever wanted to If I wasn't certain that you'd come through somehow THe fact of the matter is, Cathy I wouldn't be standing here now -The Last Five Years

re: 'Catch Me If You Can' artwork

The new artwork makes me think that the show is about a flamboyant gay pilot who likes to dress as a lady... where maybe the title "CATCH ME If You Can" implies that he is SUCH a fairy that you have to literally catch him because he's flying very far away from heterosexuality.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: 'Catch Me If You Can' artwork

The misguided lengths some go to in an attempt for humor never ceases to astound me.

re: 'Catch Me If You Can' artwork

Capn Hook your analysis says a LOT more about you than the show or the poster.

Ugly artwork.
