I'll miss this show a lot. I've probably seen it for the last time in person, (unless I take a road trip, or it keeps touring in 23-24 and comes back my way), but I'm so grateful we have the pro-shot. I think I'll hit play on that at 3pm on October 2nd."
I was lucky to have seen Sharone in both the tour in 2019 and Broadway this summer, and I absolutely adored her.
I can’t even put into words how much I’ll miss this musical. It’s been my absolute favorite since I first discovered it in 2017. I’ve seen 3 different productions - Toronto, tour, and most recently Broadway. NYC definitely won’t be the same without it.
If there is a silver lining though, I do think the closing does enhance the chance that it might tour to my city within the not-too-distant future. (We usually get the mostly non-equity tours of shows after they close on Broadway)."
Broadway in Alaska just did a promo for the first season in their new theater and Come From Away is opening the theater in 2023. So it will continue to tour well into 2023.

Lots of Newfoundlanders we're there last night and should be there again today. Several OG cast members are also expected(Geno Carr, Rodney Hicks, Caesar).

I’ll be there! We saw the 3rd production in DC way back so it’ll be a capstone on our CFA experiences (seen it 4 other times).
Very excited - going to be an emotional afternoon methinks.

Got plenty of tissues handy. Meeting up with some people prior to the show for some drinks via the CFA fan Facebook page.

Does anyone have or know of any extra tickets? Kicking myself for not buying one for today.

After they sold all the rush and SRO tickets, a cancellation line has now formed outside the box office. That's probably your best bet.

I was supposed to be there today but unfortunately couldn't make it back to New York for the show, so my best friend took the tickets. Can't wait to hear all about it.

This was incredible. Got to meet the Gander mayor, the writers and producers. So. Many. Standing. Ovations. All earned. I’ll be there the second this show comes back to Broadway.

Did they announce intentions to return to Broadway or are you just hoping they do.

They did not mention any return. This is hoping.
look, I understand enthusiasm as much as the next, especially for a closing performance. But who on earth found it necessary to scream after essentially every single line someone said or sang?? It was….a tad much. I understand shows mean different things to different people and they can express their enthusiasm, obviously. But…I found it to be a little too much. I actually want to HEAR the performers, you know?

Waiting for the car now.
Show was wonderful, cast did great and there were definitely lots of emotions.
As for the return, I did overhear one producer before the show saying there would definitely still be life after the show closes on Broadway. Not sure if he meant a tour, licensing, off Broadway, but he didn’t elaborate when asked.
The crowd, at least in the mezz, was the worst behaved crowd for any closing I have seen. There was screaming for every menial line, and it was very difficult to hear. Lots of the same people trying to film the show over and over, so lots of flash lights and angry whispering. Going back to the noise problem, it was an issue during both speaking and singing. Literally like drunk people screaming at the top of their lungs with whoops and cheers. A friend in the orchestra said it wasn’t that bad down there. There was a party asking the sound mixer in the mezz after the show, complaining why didn’t he turn it up when people were so loud. He said it was as high as it went, and he couldn’t hear either.
It was hard not to compare to the DEH closing which I also just attended (also 5th row mezz left, coincidentally!). In terms of audiences, DEH wins. But for after show speeches, CFA was the winner. Much for heartfelt and was really fun seeing the people in the story there and hearing their words.
Nothing special was passed out, but they did do a live pre show announcement that stated the numbers of performances which was fun.
Glad I went, I had always wanted to see Jenn in the role and the timing had never worked with her limited engagements. She was on fire today!

Yes, this was an amazing closing performance. Standing ovation at the start. Every actor got a much deserved applause with their first line. Lots of Come From Aways in the audience who all were brought up on stage for the end. I saw Beverly Bass, Nick and Diane, Mayor Claude, Kevin J & Oz all downstairs before the show. There were enough people filming the finale/curtain call/speeches that will be available soon. Almost every alumni was on stage at the end with exception to Chad Kimball, Kendra and possibly Tamika Lawrence (I may have spotted her on stage, but not 100%). I cried at the start of the show, during the Prayer, I Am Here, Somewhere and the Finale. This show will be missed. I see this continuing to do well on tour and doing very well in regional theaters.
The bad was the few people in the mezz that shouted for everything! And to the idiot front row, center mezzanine that kept trying to film with their smartphone, you've clearly thought you could get away with it, but putting your phone in clear site for the entire mezzanine to see over and over again was incredibly annoying. I lost count with how many times an usher ran down to shine the flashlight at you. Honestly this person should have been kicked out.

I was wondering if Kendra was going to be there. I'm a little sad she didn't go. Wonder why.

I’m glad we all agree on how poorly behaved those people were in the back of the mezz!

The WOOer and the filmer were the worst but nothing could spoil how spectacular this afternoon was. Come From Away is such a special show and I love how much it means to everyone involved in different ways.
And for folks who couldn’t attend, please consider a donation to the Canadian Red Cross (https://www.redcross.ca) or another organization helping out the victims of the Hurricane that hit Newfoundland a few weeks ago. Hundreds of homes lost the the SPCA was broken into. They deserve our help after everything they’ve done for us.

I've been to closing shows that have been much, much worse. Having a few bad apples I could tolerate. I still immensely enjoyed today's performance and look forward to seeing where else this show lands. I just couldn't get over the lone person filming front row of the center mezz and holding their phone up high enough that the entire mezzanine saw it countless times.

She lives in Seattle. It's a long trip, especially for someone who was only in the show for the first 4 or 5 months.

Still, she did three of the out-of-town tryouts, the Gander concert, and was with the Broadway production for 6 months.

I was in the orchestra, row K stage left, so thankfully had no bad audience issues. That filmer - I would’ve yelled at I think!

I was there Thursday (9/29) night, 4th row mezz, and the audience upstairs was wildly vocal This new habit of anticipating known moments and all but obliterating the audio presentation is trying our patience. It has infected Into the Woods, though less so the night I was there with all originals in, and certainly That Show On Its Second Star. That said, the CFA performance was stellar, and Colella was especially superb, the reason I was there. (Though -- minority opinion -- I still wish her number had a button; we're desperate to honor it. The song features the most heart-stopping moment in the show for me, "And the one thing I loved more than anything/Was used as the bomb.").
