This was a wonderful show. Glad it lives on in the recorded stage production.

What an incredible show that will live in my memory forever. And when that is fuzzy, I can watch the outstanding recorded version which was one of the finest filmed stage productions I've seen in years. Bravo!

Tickets are now available for the final week! Got mine for the final show! Doesn't look like they raised the prices from what I can tell.

Buying a ticket now!

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I really have to see this show again. It was the 1st show I saw after seeing nothing but HELLO, DOLLY! for 1 1/2 years. Although I enjoyed it , my heart was still in Yonkers.

I'm really disappointed to hear this news. Like several others (though unlike several more,) I thought Come From Away infuriatingly was cheated of Best Musical from DEH, which still is a far inferior show to me.

(On one hand, CFA has won six other Best Musical prizes worldwide, with NYC being the only major city where it lost. On the other hand, as a Canadian myself, I'll admit I have some favouritism bias for the show.)

The silver lining of Dear Evan Hansen's closing notice earlier this week was me thinking "Well now it's nearly certain: Come From Away will indeed squeak out a longer run than DEH, and CFA will have the last laugh," but I was disappointed both by tonight's news and deeply angered to see that its final total will come up short of Evan's run by ONLY 8 SHOWS.

(Sigh.) Regardless, Come From Away has made all of Canada and millions around the world sensationally proud. I've seen it five times and love it even more every time.

I didn't have any plans to visit NYC again until the holidays, but I might try to come for a weekend trip....

Apparently the producers of CFA are disappointed with that as well.

Why does anyone care which show ran longer? Who cares. This show will live on on tour and regionally. Easy show to produce, pretty easy show to perform. It'll do well.

I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to find a way to reduce this a little and move it off broadway.

CFA (having lost the Tony) running just 8 performances fewer than what was anointed the new phenomenon after Hamilton, and went on to won that Best Musical Tony says everything about how special this show is.

CFA has also outlived DEH in all international markets the two have played, provided the West End stays open, which seems it will.

Considering all of that, it’s clear how remarkable this show really is.

I’m glad you got through after the weirdness with Telecharge taking that date offsale!

Given that both of the 499 seat theaters at New World Stages are slated to be available this fall, I have found myself wondering if the producers of this and/or DEH are looking at the possibility of continuing their runs there. I could just as easily see both of them packing things up in NYC and looking towards the money that could be made via the regional/licensing route, of course, but I wouldn't really be surprised either way.

Orchestra section sold out and only a dozen seats remain in the mezzanine. So happy I was able to grab a ticket.

Maybe pull a Kinky Boots / Rock of Ages and want a few years and then bring it back.

Most likely not actually sold out, but seats held back for investors, friends of the show, etc so they can be there at closing.

I have heard that the producers are exploring options to transfer this show to New World Stages

Tomorrow (Wednesday June 15) the show will celebrate being the longest running show at the Schoenfeld...including a special sticker on the Playbill.

This is confusing me. If it means literally the Schoenfeld then it had achieved that a long time ago. If it means the Plymouth too, then J&H still has more performances. Can you unpack this for us?

Well, ibdb shows 1455 for CFA and 1588 for J&H. Hence my confusion.

I was just reporting what I was told. The veracity of the celebration is the onus of the show's producers and the Shuberts.

But yeah, I also just looked it up, so I'm a bit confused myself.

At first I confused it with The Scarlet Pimpernel (Which changed theaters)....but obviously my mistake...Seems like "press" for press' sake.

I love CFA so much and yeah I still feel it was robbed at the Tony Awards...but hopefully it will have a long, long, long life worldwide...and not age itself as fast as another musical....
