I hope this means the regular version will also be available for licensing soon. Or maybe this'll be like what MTI is doing with Miss Saigon where the youth version is available while the standard version remains restricted.

Can't wait to hear all the teenage girls scream their heads off trying to sing this score.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

But how many schools will do musicals with 1. All females and 2. only 6 characters?   I would imagine very few.

And no, I don't suspect this means that regular licensing will yet be available.

Also, why a “Teen Edition”? If you removed content that one could consider over a PG-13, then that basically takes out two of the songs based on content - which is already a sanitized retelling of the history. This stuff already gets taught in school so why edit it even further?

I doubt they will remove any of the songs - just rework some of the lyrics.    Most of the sex jokes/references will be gone.

What songs are you referring to?  Obviously "All You Wanna Do" is one of them, the other?

I assumed the changes would be to make the music more sustainable and suitable for teenage voices.

Is it that vocally challenging, though?   (Not being a vocalist/musician - that sometimes escapes me.)

“Don’t Lose Your Head” was the other that came to mind

JFC, a school musical with six actors per production? And girls only mind you. I'm sorry, but I don't see this being successful whatsoever.

Aren't single gender schools more prevalent in the UK? Could that be it? Also, I feel like there will be some note about anyone playing one of the roles.
