Wonder if anyone is leaving with her and who might be her replacement.

I mean, it doesnt exactly mean she is leaving on or before August 5th, it just may be when the offer is good till? However when she does eventually leave I would low key love Alice Ripley in the role. With Jessica Phillips (Diana understudy in N2N) being cast for the tour....
I would also love to see Kendra Kassebaum in the role!
The new Jared began last night. It also looked like Michael Lee Brown was on for Evan. Has Taylor missed a scheduled performance at all during his run? Or could he be on vacation? Hoping to see him this week.
We saw MLB last night as Evan Hansen and he is a phenomenal actor but my daughter, who listens to the soundtrack incessantly, had high expectations for the show and was a bit disappointed with his vocals. It did seem a bit of a stretch.

Well I mean, the cast album has Ben Platt - not Michael Lee Brown. Don't walk in expecting to hear Ben Platt lol
don't message me thinking im taylor trensch?? what would he be doing on bww?? you can't possibly be that dumb bye
So I guess I was understating it. It wasn’t just a “not Ben Platt” problem. Some of it (“Waving through a Window”) bordered on unpleasant. But he did have me in tears for most of the second act, so all in all, a brave performance.
Sorry to hear that I’ve seen most of the original understudies and I always liked MLB’s Evan because in terms of mannerisms and most songs he plays the role most similar to Ben. I’m super excited to see Taylor in the role at the end of this summer though.
Saw the show last week and it's in phenomenal shape. It was practically all adults in the orchestra, which was interesting. The second act in particular is very moving in this version.
I saw the matinee yesterday (6/16) and I like the cast changes. My thoughts on each:
Sky - his laugh is not a "annoying" or loud as Will's. I liked him. I was curious how he would be received (please don't go off on me. Yes, I know there are POC that are jewish, but you have to admit, it's not the first mental image that comes to mind). I think I heard a small reaction from the audience on his Rosh Hashanah line - but maybe not.
Phoenix - very strong vocals, felt less "mechanical" than Kristolyn.
Alex - loved his characterization! While Mike was dark and broody, Alex brought humor to Connor.
Nicole - my first time seeing her. Excellent performance!
Unfortunately, MLB was not at his best He didn't hit those high notes on WTAW, but by YWBF he sounded better. He was not feeling good/sick (chatted with a girl at SD who talked to him Friday night and said he sounded sick). He was still great and I was in tears, as usual.
I saw the show again tonight. It’s my first time seeing it since before Ben left and holy hell, they should have just closed the show if they weren’t able to find an Evan who could
1) Sing 2) Act 3) Convey any sort of emotion
They should have just closed it. All of the OBC (minus Jennifer Laura) just looks BORED. For a show that really moved me immensely when I saw it before, it bored me to tears tonight and I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there.

Carmen was one of the very first people I thought of for the role since the show opened. Hopefully she can do it at some point down run.
