Dear Evan Hansen cast changes thread

Hamilton has a cast changes thread and I just thought DEH could use one as well.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Nicole is a additional understudy to Garrett since having 1 cover is pretty risky and I'm honestly surprised they made it this long with out any problems! Also super funny to mention how both Nicole and Garrett Long understudied the adult female roles in Fun Home!!!

I've been following Ben on instagram for some time now and he seems to be having a blast!! especially with Olivia! I think he is the 3rd cover right now and if Colton leaves in November as many suspected Ben will take his place...

 

Also worth mentioning that Kristolyn is leaving in March, thoughts on replacements?

Makes sense ti being in Nicole given that RBJ has that cruise coming up so only having Garrett for that week is risky.

They only have one cover for both the younger female parts, too, though they haven't seemed to run into many problems with that arrangement. I wonder if they will eventually add an additional cover for those roles.

I know they had Phoenix come in and perform the role of Alana over the summer, but she's in the Les Mis tour right now. Also, there's a girl named Mallory Bechtel who is the vacation swing Zoe.

Wasn't there a matinee recently where Olivia (performing as Zoe since Laura Dreyfuss was out) had to leave the couch onstage while singing "Requiem"? At the time I don't think they had any other understudy available so Olivia had to continue with the show. I'm glad she's ok though.

Aah! Tomorrow is the first day of a new era for Dear Evan Hansen! Noah looks great in these promo photos, I just wish they did a new photo shoot with the entire cast, because it looks like they photoshopped Noah in.

ugh the photo of him and cast is obviously photoshopped....its the exact photo of the cast with the white backdrop just with Noah. As for Noah....like he looks fine i guess??? Its a pretty simple look so....

I'm wondering what their front of house signage will be now with out ben...I hope Rachel can take over his billboard since she won a Tony too!

I’m also wondering why they gave Noah a different outfit for that group photo. I know ben was wearing the final outfit for Evan in the show in the original photo, so is it possible they’ve changed the final costume for Noah?

doubt it....Michael and Colton have that outfit, and I'd imagine ben ross has the same

The writing in that People article cracks me up. Yes, Galvin "rocks" Evan's "signature anxious expression." And "appears to" fit in. Unconfirmed, of course, but IT APPEARS THAT WAY.

They inserted Noah into picture well having it appear he's standing behind Will with his leg behind Will's.  It's a pretty good photoshop if you compare it to the original with Ben.

I didn't expect this at all! I thought MLB (who's not leaving) and Colton were supposed to stay for all of Noah Galvin's run.
