Also Dan Macke has recently been added as a Jared/Connor understudy.

She was a vacation understudy for the role of Zoe in the fall, I believe.
It seems to make sense: Dreyfuss suddenly books a TV show, has to leave immediately, have the understudy go on for two weeks, then send on the girl who already knows the part as the replacement.
Does anyone know why they decided to put Stephen Anthony on? He wasn't even in the cast prior to his debut and Roman Banks easily could have played the role of Evan that day.
It feels like they're intentionally not putting Roman on.
Roman actually wasn't officially in the cast the week Taylor was on vacation (the week Stephen went on pre-planned). Stephen was on the board and in the Playbill (they actually made a special Playbill for the 2 weeks Olivia Puckett played Zoe, which also featured Stephen and Maria Wirries who is also from the tour cast). Roman officially joined the cast the next week.

"Tomorrow night (October 22), Dear Evan Hansen welcomes Christiane Noll as Cynthia Murphy, Jared Goldsmith as Jared Kleinman, and Phoebe Koyabe as Alana Beck. Each is reprising the roles they originated on tour; Jared and Phoebe make their Broadway debuts tomorrow night, and Christiane returns to Broadway for the first time in more than 6 years. As previously announced, Jessica Phillips will join the Broadway company as Heidi Hansen on November 26 as well."
Lots of changes. I just saw the show and thought the majority of the cast was pretty close to perfect. I love Christiane in Ragtime though so that would be worth seeing for sure.
I’m super excited for Zach to come to Broadway! My family happens to be good friends with his cousin and she got me one of the Evan casts from him when she saw the show in Toronto this past spring!
you found your heart but left a part of you behind <3
I hope that isn’t the last time Ann Sanders gets to play the part. I never got to see her, but she just seems perfect for it. Also! Considering almost every other Evan, besides Noah, have been on one year contracts and they’ve usually announced the replacement a couple months in advance I’m curious when/if we will get a new Evan announcement. Andrew will be coming up on one year in January. I could see them bringing in Robert Markus from the Toronto cast.

She was always a temporary replacement for Cynthia after LJT left and Christiane started! I believe she's back in Frozen now."
Ahh thank you! I completely missed that she was only filling in

I've been thinking about this as well and have wondered whether they might do the opposite this time and re-sign Andrew for another year.
