Dear Evan Hansen national tour cast

This is a fantastic choice I am SO happy for her, I saw her as Diana in N2N and was fantastic.

Cool, broadwaynewbie, but I was commenting on your entire comment. YOU have a fantastic day!

Thank you, Bwayfan wink

Jessica Phillips is a fabulous choice. I’m glad we’ll be seeing her back on stage.

I still don't understand the appeal for this show. He's a terrible, terrible person and yet people still side with him and cry? I don't get it. And the score is bland. And the staging is awful.

They just love dribbling these out.

Anyone know if the Toronto company will be cast with Canadians or Americans (or a mix)?

would love to see Mallory Bechtel play Zoe on the tour!

I kind of expect her to, but I do not find her to be a very good actress. Kind of dead behind the eyes. But considering the fact that she has a history with the show, I'm thinking she'll probably end up doing it.

Will Phoebe need a chaperone? (Unless she's turning 18 by the time it starts.)

You only need a chaperone if you're under 16.

Tag, I wouldn't be surprise if they pull a "Kinky Boots", and primarily be Canadian, but maybe an American in lead role or something.

I have a strange feeling Cynthia Dale might play one of the mothers...nothing I've heard, just a feeling

^Hmm she's pushing 60 and is way too old (as she was for Fun Home recently).

I love how one of the first comments on the tumblr post is "Why is Larry Murphy so hot"

What a great cast. Though I'd actually like to see Christiane Noll as Evan's mom, too. And I'm glad Aaron Lazar is returning to the stage!

Christiane Noll! Another Urinetown alum. The role of Hope Cladwell must really be a good training ground for Cynthia Murphys.

Ripped Man: I still don't understand the appeal for this show. He's a terrible, terrible person and yet people still side with him and cry?

Anti-heroes are tough. I can handle a "terrible" protagonist if I can empathize with their motivations. Thus I (mostly) forgive Sweeney Todd for his spate of revenge killings and I forgive Evan.

Meanwhile I turn completely against the straight white men in Kinky Boots for verbally and physically attacking their black, gay employee. "Raise You Up" is meant to be this joyous celebration of diversity and forgiveness but I felt like they were only embracing their "magic minority" friend because he'd saved their jobs.

But it's so true. My jaw literally dropped when I saw that headshot. He's stunning. He could play Christine in Phantom and I won't be mad.

I did some legwork for you guys - https://www.instagram.com/p/BUOdZUMg9Ht/?taken-by=aaronlazarofficial. You're welcome.
