Debating between Gatsby and Outsiders

I have space in my weekend coming up and was debating between these two. Thoughts from people who have seen both?

opinions here vary wildly, and i'm sure i'll be stoned in Shubert Alley over this one, but i'd go with Gatsby.

I would see Outsiders over Gatsby. However, it’s easier to get discounted tickets to Gatsby.

If you want a showy spectacle with a large cast, go see Gatsby.  If you'd prefer a more introspective musical with excellent direction and fight choreography, go see Outsiders.  Neither is perfect, but I'd consider Outsiders the more perfect of the two.

I personally think The Outsiders is a SIGNIFICANTLY better show.

They're both excellent, just wildly different. If you like the big lush scores for Wicked, Phantom, and Les Miz, go for Gatsby. If you like Floyd Collins, Violet, and Hadestown, I'd recommend The Outsiders. Gatsby wins for powerhouse vocals (and diction!) and scenery but The Outsiders is the one that will make you cry. Either way, these two are far and above everything else I've seen this season.

I thought Gatsby was great. Eva Noblezada is totally miscast, but everyone else is great in it, plus the sets are to die for. But the show didn't keep me engaged the whole time. But some great numbers. I haven't seen The Outsiders yet, but I recommend Gatsby.

The great Gatsby I already have a code for outsiders, which worked

These are my two favorite shows of the season, and they couldn't be more different. I agree with what's been said on here: Gatsby is a lush spectacle and The Outsiders is an emotional rollercoaster.  All that said, The Outsiders is one of my favorite things I've ever seen on stage and is definitely my recommendation if you can only see one.

I have a little bit of experience with them. But I would like to go with outsiders.
