Katie/whitewaybnd, you should probably be resting. Feel better.
Guessing the pregnancy rumor is false.

hahahahaa. i just LOVE the fact that a bunch of people can't even have an intelligent conversation about something that in the grand scheme of things is really nothing. and i also love the fact that people take the time and energy to write things like 'you type like crap'. haha, now to me, thats just amusing.
fact: krc is very good at what she does, and if the production team of wicked had any doubt in their minds that she couldn't handle the 8 shows a week, they wouldn't have HIRED her. haha.
no one has a boo hoo when Kristin Chenoweth takes a few days off cause she has a sore throat. Totally different caliber of performer, yes, but still. same principal.

Okay, Katie. Sorry. No offense intended.

If she is genuinely ill, then she has every right according to her equity contract to out, if she is faking and the producers wish to call her out on it and remove her from the show, then they can have her checked out by a health care professional of their choosing and then let her go. Clearly the producers do not yet have a problem with her attendance, we do not know the situation, and it is not our business. She isn't an above the title star. At this point,in theory, you are not paying to see her, you are paying to see the show. Why does anyone really care what the millionth Glinda replacement's attendance is like anyway?

Are you sure you're on the right message board?

hahaha, thank you jimmycurry. the only one on this message board who seems to actually have a sane opinion not based on stupid things. :)
and TRUE. who CARES what her attendance is like? when she finally moves on (let's hope its not soon!) and someone else takes her place, this is going to be of little concern to anyone who isn't a sad loser.
i also find it sad that we're arguing about one tinnyyyy issue in what has got to be the greatest and most wonderful musical ever. lets just talk about how fricking AWESOME wicked is. haha
^ No one likes newbies that start a fight. Before you felt she needed defending, people were just 'talking'. You are actually the one that made it such a big deal.
If she's been out a lot, then people will talk....so what? No one here is going to tarnish her reputation in any way or even hurt her feelings.

Is she not an above the title star JimmyCurry? I thought all elphabas and glindas had their names above the title.

Nicole Parker and Alli Mauzey were the last duo on Broadway to have their names above the title.
Nobody cares who plays who so long as the green witch gets to the forklift on time and hits the money note- then all is well with the world.
When will you all realize nobody but us cares which witch is on. NOBODY!
What concerns me most is how adam knows Alli's attendance record. You might need a hobby doll. :)
Remember that time Laura Benanti broke her neck and was out from Into the Woods all the time but no one ever actually acknowledged that she was truly ill/injured? Everyone just assumed she had a poor work ethic and I'm so mad she's never in when I go see the show and let's never hire her again? That was fun.
(well, I guess that last part only sort of happened.)
I heard that Clarke suddenly and spontaneously grew a 4-foot long tail and ran sobbing out of the theatre in search of a doctor who would perform an emergency tail-ectomy.
But I know that projectile diarrhea can sometimes resemble a tail...
I hear she was high on Vicodin and they had to take her off.
Didn't Cheno tell a story about having diarrhea while in the gown and pooped in a bucket off stage while in the gown and still making her entrance on time. Now thats a pro!
No, Betty, that was (famously) Laura Benanti (in Into the Woods), and she pooped on the floor just offstage and made her dresser clean it up!
Newintown,I thought Benanti pooped during Gypsy and Patti rubbed her face in it. At least that is what Patti says in the book.
Perhaps, Betty - but Patti may be confusing this with her memory of David Merrick smearing the orchestra pages of "Meadowlark" with his own feces in an attempt to cut it from The Baker's Wife.
According to Topol's memoir, Patti marched into the pit and declared, "You'll play that sh**ty song or rue the day you picked up the [name of instrument here]."

it only works if you catch them doing it. otherwise they don't make a connection and don't realize they're being disciplined.
Let me at least attempt to steer this thread back to its original direction.
whitewaybnd, you say that it is stupid for us to talk about who has been in for how long or how many performances they have missed etc. Yet ironically enough, you were doing just that.
Have you done any lurking of the forum prior to joining and posting? We enjoy talking about this sort of thing. Frankly I am not shocked one bit that my question started such conversation.
Guys, she fell through the trap door during the melting scene and cracked her lower ribs. Give her a break. Maybe she'll make an appearance tonight at the end of the show in a red track suit.
Who the hell is Katie Rose Clark?
The least KRC could do is perform in her isotoners so as to not disappoint fans.
