To starlight-
Being that you're one of those people who send someone an angry PM and then block them from answering you, I cannot reply to your question.

I don't have anyone blocked and my pm was not angry.
Don't Stop Believin'
I tried to reply to your pm and I was blocked.
..and I still am blocked.
so forget it.
I didn't realize that iTunes has all the RoA videos available for viewing for free. I think that's great.
I had some friends at the show tonight. Waiting to hear what they think of the changes.
Only a few more days till the opening! So exciting.
NEWS FLASH!!!
Just saw a commercial for "4 New York First Look" - entertainment / lifestyle magazine show...they said "Go backstage with Constantine of Rock of Ages" and showed a little clip of him walking around the set...so I'm guessing they're going to do a feature during the broadcast.
The show airs on the NBC affiliate (Channel 4 in NYC) at 7:30pm tonight (Saturday).
Rock on!

ROA opens today? Merde!
This is the love thread. Post here is you want to wish the best to the cast and crew of Rock of Ages.
I hope the evening is wonderful fun for everyone.

"Merde" is another way to say "break a leg". Like "En bocca al lupo".
It's bad luck to wish good luck on opening night.
I'm sorry. I hadn't heard that before. I just knew the literal meaning. lol I looked it up and understand now.

No apology necessary. It's a good day when you learn something
The Italians say (for opera, mostly):" En bocca al lupo" which roughly means "Into the mouth of the wolf". The response is "Crepi il lupo" = "May the wolf die". It's usually shortened to "Crepi".
I don't like telling dancers to break a leg, so I use "Merde!"
And may all attendees has a blast!
The reviews are in and Rock of Ages is resoundingly a success.
I only saw a couple negative ones.
The NYTimes loves Rock of Ages.
At the party tonight, Constantine will be singing. January Jane is the name of the group playing at the party and he said on facebook that he would be singing with them.
I know a few people who went to the show tonight and have word that it was wonderful, of course, could it be anything else.
Seriously, Constantine and the entire cast were beaming with joy. Standing ovation at the beginning of Don't Stop Believing, the finale.
I'm so happy for everyone in the cast and production.
I am also happy for the Rock of Ages fans. Looks like we'll be around for a while! :)))
I'm also so proud of the entire production. What a show!

The reviews are fabulous! I'm sure many in that young cast and crew can't wait to pick out a frame for that NYT review!
Congratulations to all involved!
It wasn't just a dream! I'm so happy for the entire cast!
There are lots of photos on wireimage and Gettys. I'm sure there will be a photo feature here on BWW, though, because I know I can't bring those pictures here.
I'll hear from my friends regarding the after party once they wake up. VocalLizzy will hopefully drop by here, too! I'm so glad you got to go and can't wait to hear how magical the night was.
If you're interested I've posted a review over on my blog.

Hello, Blue!!! And goooooood morning, rockers!
As you can probably imagine, I'm exhausted and giddy over last night's opening and party and this morning's arrival of some fabulous reviews.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

p.s. Please see the link below for my Review Roundup!
The Cry Of The Strip - ROA Review Roundup!
There are so many reviews! I am overwhelmed with trying to keep up. So, after Hair opened, I saw a post about a half a million dollars worth of tix sold due to the successful opening. Will there be a similar article regarding this info for RoA? I realize apples and oranges, but just wondering.
The Grosses are in for last week and it was a very good week!!
71% gross % of potential.
Hey, Blue (and the rest of you fabulous rockers here on the Love thread)...
For your reading and viewing pleasure, your friends at The Cry of the Strip have put together a second recap post, comprised of blosophere reports, late-submission reviews, and multimedia coverage of opening night.
Enjoy!
Oh and the other bit of news from the Grosses reports...the show was at 97.2 capacity! HELLS YEAH!

How is the rmezz? I just got a ticket for row E seat 115.
I've not sat in the mezz, sorry. The theater is not that large though.
Lizzy, I will definitely check out the stuff on TCOTS. I could spend hours reading it all over again.
Tix are now on sale until Labor Day, but we need some new discount codes for the summer. Any ideas on how they might be released. I want to come in June again.
lol, maybe they should offer season tickets. hmm now there's an idea!
Has anyone done the "parties" in the boxes? Just wondering how the view is from there since they are off to the side. I know most of the lotto seats seem to be partial view (to put it mildly) since my friends didn't even know there was a bar in the bar, and couldn't see the digital screen at all-- they still enjoyed it but I was surprised at how much they couldn't actually see. I was just curious if the boxes offer a better view or not.

Brooks A. is not a large theatre, my friend is a producer and she thinks the view from the mezz, " ROCKS"
