>>I don't like telling dancers to break a leg, so I use "Merde!"
Thanks- I like that. I bet James doesn't like- Break A Leg either.
I sat in the Mezz for the opening- It was a great view....much better them the Right orch. I knew what was happening on the steps and at the bar but the people next to me were clueless. I think the boxes on the Left would be nice.
Constantine will be at Sardis today singing EVERY ROSE!!
"April 16: Rock of Ages' star Constantine Maroulis will join us for an acoustic performance of 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn,' meet and greet fans and sign autographs. A truly special Audience Rewards exclusive. 5pm - 5:30pm"
Last night he sang the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden! & They gave away tickets to the show.
I just got back from seeing the matinee today. After reading the reviews on here, I was a little skeptical about seeing this show. It started off a little slow, but about 20 minutes in I was loving it!
I have to be honest and say that I could not stand Constantine on American Idol. I thought that he had a HUGE ego and a bad attitude with not much to back it up.......well he still has that big ego, but now he has something to back it up. I thought that he was AMAZING!! I thought he had an excellent voice.
I really liked the concept of the show, and I liked the fact that nothing was taken too seriously. I am a huge fan of 80's music so I enjoyed the show alot.
they chose to use a Sherrie look-alike dancer in the scene early in Act 1, instead of letting Ms. Spanger dance it herself in that kick-ass way she does?
I love this woman's dancing, and it was just so weird to see another (don't-want-to-say-it) younger girl rip this great little dance number.
Did anyone else think it was strange for Amy NOT to do the Big Sherrie Romantic Dance?
Having seen the show a few times (oh, shut up, you guys! LOL)...
I believe "Dream Sherrie" performing the dance is meant to embody the side of the character she hasn't expressed to Drew but knows she has in her heart...the more physical, seductive, emotionally expressive side. That plays right into the picnic scene when we finally see "what's really goin' on in that head".
I've even read somewhere that the "Dream Sherrie" was a nod to the Dream Ballet in "Oklahoma".
"Rounding out the category are likely to be "A Tale of Two Cities'" James Barbour and "Next to Normal's" J. Robert Spencer, with the fifth spot up for grabs among Hunter Bell ("[Title of Show]"), Matt Cavenaugh ("West Side Story"), Gavin Creel ("Hair"), Marc Kudisch ("9 to 5") and Constantine Maroulis ("Rock of Ages"), depending in part on still-to-be determined eligibility for some of these talented men. "
It's just nice to see some are considering Constantine a contender like I have for years now.
Also Constantine and Amy will be on the CBS Early Show on Monday the 27th around 8:30a with REO Speedwagon and Styx to promo the show and the groups' new single. LA Times Awards Insider

Hi! Can someone tell me which row is the front row at the Atkinson for ROA? Have some of the seats been removed because of the way the stage is set up? and do seats 101 - 114 in the center orcc run from left to right or right to left? I've seen it both ways on seating charts.
Is the front row pretty comfortable or is it hard on the neck? Sorry for all the questions!
I really want to see this show and row AA was available on the nights I might be able to go. I want to be up close but still see everything on stage!
AA is the front row. The seats in the orch center start with the lowest number on the left as you are looking at the stage. Seat 108 is the center. There are a few removed where the stage comes to a point. I've not sat in the front, but friends have and they love it. They said, at times, they do have to look up at an angle to see everything, but they do like the front.
I've only sat in row E and it was great! I had the center seat and you can see everything so good.
