Kiss Me, Kate with Sara Ramirez, Marc Kudish, Robyn Hurder as Lois and LaVon Fisher Wilson as Hattie
Emily Skinner as Mother in Ragtime with Anika Noni Rose as Sarah (she appears much younger on stage, right?)
Side Show with Jessie Mueller as Daisy
Can't cast them now because I'm on my phone, but it's time for another Cabaret. Damn Yankees too.
Lea Delaria as Rose in GYPSY. I saw her play "female" in BOYS FROM SYRACUSE once and Merman was the only comparison.
I want a Dreamgirls revival thats well done, playing at the Winter Garden. I could just see the marquee now filling that huge billboard space.
Edit: Apparently I already posted in this thread (haha) and said I'd want: a Dreamgirls revival with original staging with Da'vine Joy Randolph as Effie, Patina Miller as Deena, Adrienne Warren as Lorrell and Chestor Gregrory back as Jimmy Early.

While I know there wont be a revival any time soon, I would have loved to have saw Loretta Devine as Oda Mae Brown in Ghost. Perhaps for the tour?
For me it would be 5-10 years down the road... Next to Normal with Laura Benanti as Diana and Steven Pasquale as Dan.

Wow...night of the living thread after 2.4 years in the crypt!
Bring back an Aida the musical revival with whoever can sing and act like heather headley, except this time have them secretly escape together at the end!
I've already went on and on about my dream revival being a LCT production of FOLLIES with the same team who have done SOUTH PACIFIC and THE KING AND I (difference being that Christopher Wheeldon could be co-director and choreographer). After much thinking about it, James Goldman's book (no matter what version it is) is completely flawed in every sense of the word. I love what surrounds it (Prince, Bennett and the rest of the talented cast and crew, used so much imaginative creativity for that legendary 1971 production) but I kind of feel cheated on the four main characters, who to me, feel like middle-aged angst tools who don't feel like human beings.
Maybe with a very smart book writer, we can finally have a book that can be up there with Sondheim's genius score.
Sondheim wouldn't be too pleased with that suggestion.
It's about time there's another Revival of Crazy For You. With Santino Fontana as Bobby, Sutton Foster as Polly, Betsy Wolfe as Irene, Nick Cordero as Lank, etc.
I'd also love to see another Carousel revival.
The recent lyric opera's production of carousel would make a splendid revival. They just to clean a few things. A rent 20th anniversary would be fun.
I would love a Lady in the Dark or One Touch of Venus revival.
-I'd love to see another Evita revival in 5 or 6 years. Preferably with an Eva who can sing and a Che who isn't a doormat.
- I really hope I'll be able to see a dazzling Funny Girl revival with a Fanny Brice that is just out of this world.
- Dreamgirls.
- Cats. But not a uninspired revival that is just copying the original.
- Beauty and the beast
- My Fair Lady
I really would love to see a Once Upon a Mattress revival where Dauntless is not the cookie cutter Prince Charming character. Sooo I would dream cast the leads as...
Princess Winnifred- Sutton Foster
Prince Dauntless- Josh Gad
This will probably NEVER happen but: Bare: A Pop-Opera. The score is so good.
I'd like to see someone try to mount a major production of Jose Rivera's best play THE PROMISE.
Probably the only theater company who has the funds to do it justice would be The Roundabout. And we know how they feel about those non-White people...
"I really would love to see a Once Upon a Mattress revival were Dauntless is not the cookie cutter Prince Charming character. Sooo I would dream cast the leads as...

I would LOVE Gad as Dauntless! I've always thought Fred and Dauntless should be a little older than the usual ingenue types, just to hit home that everyone has waited a LONG time for Dauntless to marry.
Hugh Jackman in Barnum.
I want to see this more than any other potential revival.

My dream revival is Sunset Boulevard (aka my favorite musical)
I can't decide on my #1 Dream Norma, but I have a few:
- Donna Murphy
- Blair Ross
- Carolee Carmello
*And then, of course, if I actually got to see Betty Buckley perform the role in the flesh, I think I'd cry, since she's my favorite Norma.
Ryan Silverman as Joe
Danny Burstein as Max
Lena Hall as Betty
