Who wants to bet this is going to recoup before it opens?

"Who wants to bet this is going to recoup before it opens?"

Easily.

I also can't wait for the inevitable posts: "What is the best place to sit in order to get the best view of Daniel Radcliffe???"

My guess would be the onstage seats. =D

I really hate the way this show is promoted with sexually charged photos. I'm no prude but I think it's the wrong style of advertising for EQUUS.

Don't think for a second that there will be discount codes or any kind of rush.

We're going to have to pay full price for this one.

My question is spurned by the picture posted above. How much female nudity is involved in this production?

Morosco - I've played Nugget before - to ignore the sexuality of this piece is to ignore a major portion of it.

Not if it's Napier's set. Go for orchestra.

I believe she is nude a lot more than he is, but don't quote me on that.

I think you're right on the money. This seems like the kind of thing I'll have to get tickets for the morning they go on sale. Especially considering the 6th film will be released during the run of the play, Radcliffe will be very much in the news again. I wonder if they will cancel performances around the premiere of the film, or put his understudy on.

Anyone think the Broadhurst will let teens under 18 in without a parent? because if not...well thats just not good for me.

Well, Alan (character name :P) is shirtless at the end of act one, then both Alan and Jill are fully naked at the climax of act two. Jill gets naked fractionally before Alan does, but she goes offstage before he does. As they are both fully naked, I'd argue that it's not possibly for one to be a lot more nude than the other, but that's just me being facetious. :3

xOnMyOwnX - this isn't a movie theater. They're not going to impose strict regulations on ages. Cameras, on the other hand, I can definitely see not being allowed into the theater. As I recall, they were very strict (re: cameras) during THE GRADUATE and THE BLUE ROOM.

I actually had a problem with Richard Griffiths because, Lord love him, he sucks all the sexual energy out of the show. It's impossible to feel aroused when he's sitting there watching the proceedings.

SongandDance - Are there on stage seats for this production as there were in the original?

Shbrt - Agreed 110% Love him. He's a brilliant actor. But it's like (from my heterosexual perspective, at least) going from your hot 8th grade English teacher to your old lady Spanish teacher. Griffiths is just so...slovenly. I'd love to see Alec Baldwin do Dysart in his basso whisper.

"adamgreer - I doubt he'll miss shows for publicity since most of that happens during the day and can be done in NYC. So, unless he has to go to the UK for an opening, probably not."

I meant the actual nights of the premiere- the London, NY, and LA premieres. In the past he's gone to all three of them.

YankeeFan007- I know that, but someone told me that they don't let anyone under 18 in without an adult for avenue q, and that they expected the same would be done for EQUUS. Just a rumor

While I am very interested in seeing this play, I think I'm going to have to skip this one. The thought of being surrounded by Harry Potter fans who have no interest whatsoever in the material just doesn't sound like a fun time at the theatre. I have wanted to see this play performed live for a some time, though, so I'm still debating.
