Lauren Ambrose is doing the first revival and she's ALL WRONG FOR IT.
B3TA07,
I did. Why? Do you think I didn't? I said that I did, but if you don't believe me, there's really no way I can convince you, is there?
Seriously, this will be gone by Labor Day.
So sad to hear about Patti. Do we know if Alice Ripley is going to hold a grudge against Laura for years if they fall out of alignment during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?
Will it run longer than ALL SHOOK UP?
Ripley would have been great ten years ago, but with the state of her voice these days...
Is David Yazbek going to write the score?
My friend was mentored by Stephen Sondheim, and he said he was taken to a room that was knee-deep in angry letters for different situations that he hasn't sent in to the New York Times. I think we'll be seeing a letter about this soon.
Wasn't there already a thread on this?
Previous earthquake thread
I hear they changed the ending to this earthquake, and put the fault line in a different key.
That just sucks.

Sondheim is livid that this earthquake was rewritten to allow for a "more upbeat ending."
He's also rewriting Follies to add a song about the earthquake and change the endive (again.)
anybody have the u/s list??
Cameron is transfering it to London...he saw it coming and closed Betty Blue Eyes.

Damn that elitist spell check~ I meant ENDING but I rather like the idea of endive.

I don't know why people are surprised, Riedel's been saying bad things about this for weeks now.
I kind of like the idea of Sondheim changing the endive ... AGAIN.

Sorry but the West Coast stagings are WAY more earthmoving, plus we don't have to wait as long for revivals .
JEFF: Steve. What are you doing?
SONDHEIM: I'm changing the endive.
JEFF: Again?
SONDHEIM: Yes.

You all should have seen the Merman play the New Madrid Fault Line back in '52. I still tremble just thinking about it.
You must have missed Streisand in "Funny Quake."
She really broke the mold.
