Elphaba's new performer

Does anybody know who will be replacing Idina for Elphaba starting Jan. 10?
On another note, how long do you think Wicked will be on Broadway?? I'm getting contrasting answers from quite a few people. Many say that the most it'll last would be 10 years, while others say it's too good to stop that soon. Any opinions?

Posted: 9/19/04 at 11:17amI think it will last quite awhile if it keeps the 2 leads(Galinda and Elphaba) as two very talented people instead of getting pop stars.

Posted: 9/19/04 at 11:18amHere, i'll give you a nice answer. I really hope it lasts for the next 10 years because I am dead set on playing Elphaba and I have to get through college first. So it has to last another 5 years and then another 15 or so so that I can be green for as long as my contract will keep me. But seriously, I do think it will last 10 years at least.

Posted: 9/19/04 at 11:42amIdina's last performance for Wicked is on January 9th 2005. My question was asking who would be the next Elphaba.

I think it is a shame that Idina hasn't yet won her well-deserved TONY.
I can't believe that Hugh Jackman beat her this year.

oh you kids behave
as of yet, no one has been announced, but Shoshana Bean will probably get offered the part because she's the current Elphaba standby. I HIGHLY suggest you get the Godspell CD (2000 Off-BWay version) and listen to Bless the Lord to find out how phenomenal this woman is
