Raúl Esparza, seen on Broadway last season as the confused bachelor Bobby in the Tony-winning revival of Company, will star in another revival come fall.
Variety reports that Esparza will join the previously announced Ian McShane for the Broadway revival of Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming. Michael McKean, the former "Laverne & Shirley" co-star whose Broadway credits include Hairspray and The Pajama Game revival, will also be part of the cast.

Interesting. Berry interesting.
"Daniel Sullivan will direct the Pinter revival, which is scheduled to begin previews at the Cort Theatre Nov. 16 with an official opening scheduled for Dec 4. The design team will feature set designer Eugene Lee, lighting designer Kenneth Posner and costume designer Jess Goldstein."
Wooo! Can't wait to see it. Even if it's not a musical.
"McShane will star as the family patriarch with McKean as his brother and Esparza as McShane's pimp son."
A pimp? Hmmm...
"Esparza as McShane's pimp son."
When I read those words, I let out a laught that was audible down the street.
Well, the role, if I'm correct, won the original actor a Tony. Maybe it will finally be Raul's year.
Very exciting news!!!
Awesome news!
The worst thing that can happen is that Raul is given the Tony for this performance because the voters felt bad about not giving him the award last year.
Hopefully that won't be the case, but it might be.
It wouldn't surprise me, but hopefully his performance is good enough that they don't have to give him the Tony out of pity.
If Raul is nominated for the Tony at all...
Why don't we learn more about the production and stuff before we start TONY talk.
vfd - the original run of the play won several
Best Play, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Featured Actor
and.... I also absolutely love the "connection" to Company (aside from Raul).
I think I missed the ""connection" to Company connection.."
Can you elaborate?
Thanks

jay- I was wondering the same thing
I say let's discuss his Tony chances before he even shows up for rehearsal!
Yeah!
Psh, of course. What else are these boards for?
Good for him! I was hoping for his next project to be a straight play.

Boy, a revival of a Pinter chestnut at one of the least desirable theaters with no "names" in the cast.
Based on that alone, I give it 80 performances. I wonder if it's limited.
