I heard from a friend who saw an Inga understudy on Saturday that Foster sprained her ankle and will be out of the show for a few weeks on medical leave.
Has anyone else heard anything further?
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
She was out of the Thurs. Jan. 19 show. Understudy was mediocre, as was the show. High points were the sets, Andrea Martin, Schuler Hensley and Christopher Fitzgerald.
I was there Wednesday night. She was in. Did the entire show (there did not appear to be any problem). Like I said a friend of mine saw the show Friday evening and did not mention to me that Sutton was out. I can ask her in the morning. She was NOT out Wednesday.
She was out today (Sunday - well technically now yesterday). Her understudy was good - I had nothing to compare her to, as it was my first time seeing the show.
Her first show out, from what I was told, was Friday.
She apparently fell while walking home from the theater Thursday night.

i'm pretty sure its Renee Feder who was in Evil Dead the musical Off Broadway

Just curious Jared, exactly what do you do at the Hilton, because i've worked there for a good while now, and I don't recall there being any Jarod's on staff, in any department. To set the record straight, Sutton missed starting Thursday, Christina Marie Norrup went on from Thursday-Sunday, but starting tonight Renee Feder went on. No word on when Sutton will be back.
Renee Feder (who has changed her name from Renee Klapmeyer since her days in Evil Dead and her marriage) is fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved her in Evil Dead. I bet she's a great Inga. Report back if you see her!
Sutton has been out since Thursday night. Her understudies are Christina Marie Norrup, who was on from Thurs-Sun, and Renee Feder, who was on last night.
No!!! I'm seeing YF on Feb 2nd, and I'll be devastated if Sutton's not back!
As a side note, I've never heard of anyone aside from my family having the same last name as me, until I saw that the name of Sutton's understudy is Renee Feder. LOL.
More news: she sprained her ankle walking home. There are rumors of her coming back Saturday, but I'm thinking it'll be Tuesday.
Both Inga understudies are growing into the roles fabulously. I feel like if you combined Christina's acting with Renee's voice, you'd get one super Inga.
Then again, I suppose it would depend on the severity of the sprain, not to mention that if I were dancing on it that much I'd want to make sure it was well healed before going back on.

Sprains are actually usually worse than breaks because you really can't cast and immobilize them the same way. So yeah, it can take a while to heal ~ especially if you don't stay totally off of it.

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
If Foster injured herself, why weren't 200 bitty boobie girls holding a candlelight vigil crying in front of the theatre. Honestly, does no one have respect for actors any more?
