Full Monty revival?

As long as we're wishing for revivals, isn't it about time The Full Monty musical made a come back? Maybe a production that actually delivers the promise in the title this time?

If Jeremy Jordan wasn't so clearly shy about the nudity in Bonnie & Clyde I'd say he'd be perfect for Jerry.

They should do it at Circle in the Square.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Jordan doesn't have the masculinity for the role. He's like 5'8". He'd read as a litte boy, not a man with a son.

I actually agree with Ripped. Jordan is too little boy for the role. Jerry needs to ooze with masculinity.

Ed Watts doesn't have the voice for it. Jerry is a high tenor.

I'm confused about nudity regulations. Why can shows like this one and Hair have nudity but Broadway Bares can't.
#8

Full Monty revival?

Could it be the intent of the nudity?
Those Blocked: SueStorm. N2N Nate. Good riddence to stupid! Rad-Z, shill begone!

So you're going to sit through that rather dull show for 2 and 1/2 hours just for a 1 second glimpse of dong?

That's dedication.

Full Monty revival?

I saw plenty of nudity at Bares.

Is alcohol sold at Bares?

Depends on who's dong it is. I still kick myself for missing Christopher J. Hanke in the national tour.

Come back from where? It woudl have to be gone to make a come back. Since the Broadway run and tour ended, it has been a frequent favorite of regional and community theater groups.According to MTI there are at least a dozen productions happening in the coming months.

Although the Broadway production was a (financial) hot its run was not spectacular at 770 performances, and the national tour performed weakly. The tour launched in Toronto where the run was cut short when tickets were selling far below expectations. The show seems to do well in limited runs at community theatres especially in bible belt areas where the scandal of possibly doing the full monty (even though the show cops out on this at the end) inspires enough controversy to sell some tickets.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

The recent Papermill production with Stritch was terrific. Wayne Wilcox was great as Jerry.

Hated this show, moving it away form the UK during that struggles during the 80s under Thatcher killed the heart of the piece. Thank god we have the new play version which is currently on tour here in the UK which has restored its location etc, the play is incredible
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

What about Adam Pascal as Jerry? Or is he too old now? Patrick Wilson wasnt even 30 yet when he played it.
#18

Full Monty revival?

Well, in "Scrap" Jerry flat out says he's 32, so I guess it depends on if you think Adam can still read as that age on stage (it's been a while since I've seen him on stage so I won't say if I think he can or can't).
