Do you not know who Glenn Close is? Glenn Close is a SHE .
"Uh, he's talking about Ben Platt.

Oh. Oops. That makes more sense. Since the thread is about Glenn, my brain reverted there.

I don't think I said it was astounding, merely that your blanket statement about the "younger generation" isn't entirely accurate. This is a written forum, so don't get offended when someone points out that your words don't make sense. Also, to say that Ben shows up because he wants the Tony is an insult to him. I assume it's because he loves his job, has a good work ethic, and appreciates the audiences coming to see him.
What an unnecessary thread.

Rumor has it she also knows all her multiplication tables and did a great finger painting in art class last week.
To clarify, I think she is a gem because she is a gem and anyone who got to see her in SUNSET witnessed the performance of the century.
I didn't because Betty Buckley was better. Still...best performance in 100 years? Pretty much the entire history of Broadway? Really???
But I feel like she really tries hard to show up, even when she is having bad vocal days just to make her fans happy and I love her for that. A true DIVA.
Oh Lordy, here we go. Cosmos at the piano bar shout-singing Judy Garland medleys while a drunk Liza impersonator ugly-cries sitting on the bench next to the pianist. I've seen this show WAY too many times and I've never been a fan. I'm out.
What an unnecessary thread.
Almost all of them are.

"Performance of the century?" That's debatable, considering that Cynthia Erivo and Ben Platt have also performed this century.
I'm sorry, but what good does it do any of you to say things like "Betty Buckley was better" or "you forget Cynthia Erivo and Ben Platt"? muscle is—obviously—extremely passionate about this show and Close's performance, and yes, it can sometimes be a bit overdone (this separate thread is rather extraneous, to be sure), but does his love for it actually harm any of you? I hope we can all be so excited about something at some point in our lives.

What good does it do? What good did it do to create this ridiculous thread? Also, don't forget that muscle has been very vocal in his disdain for THE GREAT COMET on multiple threads, so don't paint him as a wide-eyed innocent. He's very good at giving his differing opinion when it's not wanted or needed.
Any news on the regularity of her bowel movements?

What good does it do when you post your unsolicited opinions?
Well, Glenn still won't be eligible for the Tony, so I'm sure the gold star in attendance on her report card will be consolation.

Well surely she knew that going into the production, and she already has that Tony so I doubt that's why she did it to begin with.
And yes to everything on this thread - yes, she's a gem. Yes, she's not eligible. Yes, it's not that remarkable. Yes, muscle's enthusiasm is cute. Yes, muscle's enthusiasm is a pain in the butt. Calm down, everyone (especially you, muscle).

Especially YES to this. (Muscle - trash talk less, smile more!)

She wouldn't deserve it either way.
I wasn't surprised this thread was created. I was, however, surprised it had 38 responses. I thought troll threads like this were usually just ignored ![]()
I keep checking back to see if we've had an update on how regular her bowel movements are...

I hear she always used to have them 8 times a week, though 7 more recently.

I heard her understudy had to go on for her last Wednesday.
